Adina Scott

Adina Scott is an adventurer, nerd, and artist. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest she could usually be found digging in the dirt under the porch, playing music, reading a book, or hanging out up in the plum tree snacking.

Demond "Dom" Mullins

Demond is an enthusiastic outdoorsman and conducts social research on the benefits of outdoor recreation, particularly mountaineering. In 2015, he conducted an ethnographic study of a group of combat veterans during their summit bid of Denali. He has also summited Kilimanjaro and Mt. Kenya. Demond Mullins received his PhD in Sociology from The Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY) in 2013. He is a combat veteran of the Iraq War, where he served as a Armor Crewman in OIF II. After service Demond became a National Spokesman for Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) and worked as a United States Senate staffer on veterans health and education issues.

Eddie Taylor

As a Midwestern kid, Eddie dreamed of mountains. From an early passion for snowboarding and trips out west, the seed was planted.

Evan Green

Born in Queens, NY but raised in Texas, Evan is an all-arounder when it comes to outdoors. He is an avid climber, cyclist, snowboarder, and backpacker based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

James Edward Mills

James Edward Mills is a freelance journalist who specializes in telling stories about outdoor recreation, environmental conservation, acts of charitable giving, and practices of sustainable living. He has worked in the outdoor industry since 1989 as a guide, outfitter, independent sales representative, writer, and photographer. He is the author of the book "The Adventure Gap: Changing the Face of the Outdoors" and the co-writer/co-producer of the documentary film An American Ascent. James has written for the Wisconsin State Journal, Madison Magazine, and Wisconsin Trails. He is currently a contributor to several outdoor-focused print and online publications such as National Geographic Adventure, Rock & Ice, Alpinist, SUP, Elevation Outdoors, Women's Adventure, the Clymb, Park Advocate, High Country News, Land & People, Sierra, Backpacker, Outside Magazine and The Guardian.

Justice Whitaker

Justice Whitaker is a dynamic creative storyteller with a broad and diverse history of experiences and skill sets. He is a digital media story development specialist that focuses in cinematic film, video and audio experiences. An experienced producer, editor, and shooter, he has an extensive background in Development, Production, and Post Production for long and short format work. He is a passionate writer who focuses on issues of Social Justice and under represented communities in his work. Justice has directed several documentary projects, and continues to develop independently produced films, books, photography series, and audio content. He has a BFA in Film and TV production from NYU, and did Masters coursework in Education at LIU.

Phil Henderson

A native of California, Philip started his outdoor career almost 30 years ago. His passion for recreation, education and climbing has provided him with opportunities to travel, climb and ski around the world. Over the past two and half decades he has spent hours volunteering for many youth programs in the US, exposing young people from around the country to the power or nature. Has been instrumental in teaching mountain skills training to guides and porters around in Nepal, Kenya, Tanzania and Chile as well as encouraging, inspiring and mentoring many more people to get outside.

Rolake Bamgbose

Rolake Bamgbose is a two-time Emmy-nominated filmmaker with over a decade of experience producing and directing compelling documentaries, short films, and television news content for HBO, FX, HULU, ESPN, VICE, PBS, NBC, ABC and The New York Times, among others. Rolake's nuanced approach to storytelling allows her to identify and tell deeply personal stories that speak to urgent societal and cultural questions confronting the U.S. and the world. As a director, she is known for illuminating underreported topics with sincerity, integrity and authenticity. She has a ride range of varying experiences throughout the African diaspora, and other marginalized communities around the world.

As a Colombian immigrant and woman of color herself, Vanessa recognizes the systemic barriers that purposefully keep BIPOC out of outdoor spaces. Taking up space in the outdoor community feels revolutionary.
