Amber Joseph

Job Titles:

Amber joined October 2020 to assist with Property management admin. She has extensive experience in customer service which helps greatly when speaking with tenants and landlords. Her decision to join NOPS was based on her interest in property generally and she hopes to progress within the company over the coming months and years. Excited to learn more Amber is beginning her ARLA qualifications and hopes to complete these in the near future.

Beth Osment

Beth graduated from Harper Adams University in BSc Food & Consumer Studies in 2015. She went onto gain valuable customer service experience working for food companies, before deciding a change of direction in property was an exciting prospect in October 2017. Beth's pragmatic approach to work enables her to deal with tasks efficiently and her rapport with clients and tenants is exceptional. Beth previously worked in the professional property office alongside Kelly where she excelled and has recently moved to our accounts team, assisting Janice.

Billy Webb

Job Titles:

Billy joined NOPS at the beginning of 2015 and has since become a valuable member of the Lettings team having recently swapped from Professional to Student lettings ahead of 2018/19 student release. Particularly enjoying the social aspects of lettings, he conducts the vast majority of student viewings in a bright and friendly manner. He is highly motivated and has excellent attention to detail.Billy successfully passed the ARLA Qualification in 2017.

Bolli Swailes - CHRO

Bolli joined NOPS on 27th January 2020 as HR Director to ensure our growing team have all the assistance needed. Bolli aims to offer support to any in need and is quick to nip any issues in the bud. She will be office based for the foreseeable future before venturing out of the office when she feels ready. Her charm and lively behaviour is likely to ensure any future recruitment should be a walk in the park. As well as drawing up all contracts and writing job descriptions she will also be there to assist and learn from Buddy who will act as mentor in her early days at NOPS.

Buddy Swailes - CEO

Buddy joined NOPS as our CEO at the tail-end of the year on Monday 29 th October 2018. The mutual consensus was that the company needed a fresh set of paws to implement a stronger management structure. He has stripped the company to its bare bones and will rebuild from the bottom up. Since joining the company he has made his presence (scent) well known within the office and throughout Jericho. The glamorous NOPS girls are finding walking our CEO a delight and our Director hasn't completed a full day's work since his arrival. Field work is Buddy's specialty however his interpersonal skills allow him to negotiate politely, although this doesn't mean he's afraid to bark orders when necessary.

Costa Ioannou

Costa manages the NOPS Student Lettings portfolio together with HMO related issues. He is highly experienced within the Property Service Sector and has been with NOPS since 2006. Costa also manages and organises our contractors and oversees the NOPS emergency out of hours service.

Debbie Swailes

Debbie is the Director of NOPS and ARLA qualified. Highly experienced in all aspects of the property services sector, she has consistently grown the business to its leading status as Oxford's "Premier league" property service company. Originally from Cornwall, Debbie has been at the cutting edge of the student and professional lettings markets in Oxford for the past twelve years. She is an expert in the buy to let/investment sector.

Hannah George

Hannah started working at North Oxford Property Services in January 2009 as the office administrator it wasn't long before she was promoted to Lettings Negotiator in July 2009. In 2011 she then moved to Sale and Professional Lettings Negotiator, Hannah has experience in all of the roles within the business giving her the ability to help with all situations. Hannah was promoted to Head of Lettings in October 2013 and now manages all aspects of Student and Professional Lettings.

James Whybrow

James joined NOPS in March 2020. With a degree in Business Management along with previous experience in sales and account management James was well positioned to join our busy property management team. A key factor for James success so far is his ability to deal with issues as quickly as possible an communicate with both tenants and landlords in a positive and effective manner. More experience will only improve James as a Property manager as he continues to progress with NOPS. He is currently studying towards ARLA Level 3 qualification.

Janice Morton

Janice is our financial controller having joined North Oxford Property Services in 2007. She has a "top flight" corporate background in finance and residential property asset management (Block Management). Janice also undertakes Company Secretarial duties for client management companies and leads the finance team. Her experience is multi-faceted and she has specialised knowledge of all aspects of NOPS business.

Kelly Preston

  • Lettings Manager
Kelly started her career in lettings in 2006 as a Trainee Lettings Negotiator. Since then she progressed to a Lettings Negotiator before becoming Lettings Manager in 2009. Kelly has very high standards and thrives in the lettings environment. She is currently working in the professional property office where she manages the day to day running of projects including marketing properties, referencing tenants, negotiating lets whilst communicating with Landlords and arranging viewings. Kelly successfully completed the ARLA qualification in 2013, and continues to train annually to ensure she is up to date with new laws and regulations. Kelly enjoys her role being so varied and enjoys the challenges she's met with.

Laura Andres

Laura started her career four years ago in the property field and previously worked for a short lettings agency before joining our team. Laura has a great amount of experience in dealing with all type of tenancy issues, and has proven skills in attention to detail. She started with NOPS working in lettings and gained valuable experience in many areas, before being given the opportunity to be Property Manager in the professional office which she found very rewarding. Since returning from maternity leave, Laura has expertly managed our short letting portfolio. She successfully completed the ARLA qualification in 2017.

Lu Bowler

Lu has been with us since 2014, she came to NOPS from 10 years' experience in the customer service industry. Lu started with us as head of property management, she has since changed her role as she has just returned from maternity and is a mother of two and works part time. Working as part of the property management team, Lu aims to resolve issues quickly she works well with both tenants and landlords. Lu completed her ARLA qualification in 2017.

Mai Mason

Mai began as temporary employee to assist during the busy summer months and has now become a permanent member of our team as an administrative assistant, within the Property management department. Previous to NOPS Mai worked at Oxford University in an administrative role. Mai has taken to NOPS well and is looking to continue her progress within the company. She will be completing her ARLA qualifications over the coming months.

Mimi Ridge

On leaving school Mimi worked as a dental nurse for 6 years becoming qualified and gaining post-qualifications. In this line of work Mimi was constantly interacting with customers which has stood her in good stead for her role at NOPS. Mimi started as a Property Manager for the professional team in 2015, where she built up a great relationship with Landlords and tenants alike and worked tirelessly to improve the already high standard of the professional portfolio. Mimi has also added to her qualifications by successfully completing the ARLA award in 2017. Mimi moved to our accounts department where she enjoyed time to experience a different aspect of NOPS and has recently returned to Property Management.

Robin Swailes

Robin is actively involved in the Oxford property market. Over many years he has overseen NOPS clients who wish to renovate or further develop their properties to increase their yield/return. Robin's team include architectural services, 3D property visualisation and project management. Sarah Shemeld

Sarah joined NOPS Property Management team at the beginning of 2018 and used her vast previous experience in customer service to quickly adapt. After a year in our Property Management team Sarah took up a role in the Student Lettings team allowing her to exercise her skills in speaking and assisting clients. Sarah's attentive and hardworking nature make her a vital member of NOPS team especially during Student release in which she is the first point of call for all potential tenants. In her social time Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and friends which generally revolves around playing with her cat Ziggy and walking her dog Frank.

Sidney Swailes

Job Titles:

Sidney has been with NOPS for eight and a half years and assesses and appoints Contractors. A French National, he is very particular about arranging appointments. A detailed assessment of Contractors is made using a variety of selection techniques including odour assessment and more importantly, food evaluation. Successful applicants usually provide high protein offerings in the form of steak though there is a strong preference for fillet. After 9 years as director of the company, Sidney is now taking a well-earned rest.
