Prior to the formation of Invera Wealth Advisors in 2009, Ila was with Raymond James & Associates, Inc. as the branch operations specialist/receptionist.
Ila previously worked in data operations and administration for Home Buyers Guide magazine and as an administration and dispatch specialist for Pasco Doors. She earned her bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in business information systems from DeVry University.
Ila gives back to the community in many ways. She has participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in the fight against breast cancer and volunteered at the Lindsay Wildlife Museum through United Way. In addition, she supports local organizations such as Children's Hospital of Oakland and John Muir Hospital of Walnut Creek.
Ila previously lived in Southern California and now resides in Mountain House with her husband Wesley and sons Jameson and Leo. They enjoy watching and attending baseball games, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Jessica joined Invera Wealth Advisors in 2014 to expand the team's involvement in sustainable and responsible investing. She is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional with extensive experience in sustainability and ESG investing. She brings with her a passion for the natural world and a belief in the power of the market to bring about positive social and environmental change. Jessica holds a Master of Science in sustainable development and conservation biology and a Master of Public Policy with a specialization in environmental policy. She earned her Bachelor of Science in wildlife biology. Before joining Invera, Jessica worked to improve the welfare of animals in Latin America with Humane Society International, studied Painted Dogs in Zimbabwe, rescued pets in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and served in the Peace Corps in Central America. Jessica currently lives in Bend, Oregon with her husband Shenandoah and their sons Kai and Taj. She enjoys hiking, snowboarding, traveling and teaching her boys to be good stewards of the planet.
Mary has a wealth of experience in the financial services industry, beginning as a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch in 1983. She also served as a senior portfolio manager at Smith Barney as well as senior vice president, investments at Raymond James & Associates, Inc.
Shenandoah Sampson is a co-founder of Invera Wealth Advisors. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ and a Certified Investment Management Analysist®. He loves studying the everchanging state of the economy, business, and global markets and translating that understanding into success for Invera's clients.
Shenandoah received his master's degree from Harvard University in International Education Policy and his bachelor's degree in International Relations from Dartmouth College. Before co-founding Invera Wealth Advisors, Shenandoah was a financial advisor at Raymond James & Associates. Prior to that he worked at the U.S. Department of State managing the Fulbright Program, the flagship international educational program of the U.S. government. He also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Burkina Faso, West Africa, where he taught mathematics in French at a rural high school for two years.
Shenandoah lives in Bend, Oregon with his wife Jessica and their sons Kai and Taj. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, surfing, biking, playing jazz guitar, and having fun with his family.
