Mr. A.H. Malas is a Principal of IRA Capital. His primary responsibilities include overseeing IRA's operational activities, which include investor and lender reporting, budgeting, and expense control. Mr. Malas also directs the firm's asset management activities and manages the firm's relationships with its 3rd party management companies. Prior to IRA Capital, Mr. Malas worked with a family office where he was responsible for the asset management of a one million square foot portfolio of retail and office properties located in California, Colorado, and Georgia. Throughout his career, Mr. Malas has been involved in the acquisition and asset management of properties across product types, totaling more than seven million square feet and valued in excess of $2 Billion.
Prior to his ventures in real estate, Mr. Malas worked in the entertainment industry for NBC Universal within their Digital Distribution Department. Mr. Malas received his MBA from Chapman University and his bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Radio/TV/Film from California State University, Fullerton. Mr. Malas is a licensed California Real Estate Agent and is actively involved in numerous real estate and charitable organizations.
Mr. Sitz is a Managing Director responsible for supporting the acquisition, and asset management activities of IRA Capital. Mr. Sitz is focused on the asset management of stabilized and opportunistic projects as well as the acquisition of new properties. Mr. Sitz's responsibilities include monitoring the company's portfolio, sourcing new investments, obtaining financing, overseeing property managers leasing brokers, and general contractors.
Prior to IRA Capital, Mr. Sitz was active in real estate sales and leasing. He has previously worked as a sales associate with Marcus & Millichap in West Los Angeles and as a leasing agent with Avison Young. Before finding his passion in real estate Daniel's primary focus was medical research. Mr. Sitz has been published in several scientific journals and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles with cum laude honors.
Mr. Patel is an Analyst responsible for supporting the acquisition, development, and asset management activities of the company. Mr. Patel is focused on the acquisition of stabilized and opportunistic projects as well as the asset management of the firm's investments.
Mr. Patel earned a Bachelors degree in both Finance and Economics from University of California, Riverside and has a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.

His primary responsibilities include directing IRA's investment strategy and raising equity for IRA's private funds and syndicated offerings, while overseeing the firm's overall investment strategy. Throughout his career, Mr. Malas has been involved in the acquisition, financing, and development of more than $2.5 Billion of real estate across product types. Mr. Malas is also the President and CEO of Dana Investments, a full service real estate operating company he established in 1984.
Mr. Malas received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba-Winnipeg, Canada. He is also an attendee of YPO's Executive Program at Harvard Business School. Mr. Malas is a licensed Real Estate Broker in California, Colorado, and Georgia. He is actively involved in numerous leadership and executive organizations including YPO/WPO (Young President's Organization/World President Organization) and CEO (Chief Executive Organization). Mr. Malas serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of California Irvine Foundation and Claremont Graduate University, and also serves on the Board of Directors of the California Charitable Foundation. He is also a "Visionary Founder" of UCI Applied Innovation, and a lifetime founding member for the Mission Hospital Foundation.
Mr. Patel is a Principal and Co-Founder of IRA Capital. His primary responsibilities include directing IRA's investment strategy and overseeing the firm's equity relationships for IRA's various co-investment programs. Throughout his career, Mr. Patel has been involved in the acquisition, financing, and development of transactions valued in excess of $2.5 Billion across product types. Prior to co-founding IRA Capital, Mr. Patel was active in developing retail real estate and has developed long-standing relationships with national tenants.
Prior to his ventures in real estate, Mr. Patel worked as an investment banking financial analyst at HSBC's Debt Capital Markets Group in London and New York. He also worked at the Financial Restructuring Group for Houlihan Lokey Howard and Zukin in Chicago. Mr. Patel has worked on numerous restructurings, distressed mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, private placements, and valuations for corporations in and out of bankruptcy. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelors of Arts in Economics and has a Masters in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. Mr. Patel is actively involved in numerous real estate organizations. He is also a frequent guest speaker at the University of Southern California.
Mr. Tofan is an Asset Manager of IRA Capital. His primary responsibilities include the management and operations of IRA's investments. Prior to IRA Capital, Mr. Tofan served as an asset manager and accumulated a portfolio exceeding $1 Billion. He was previously responsible for the development and operations for one of California's first Master-Planned Mixed-use communities in Irvine, CA.
