ANDY SINCLAIR - CEO

Andy is an accomplished real estate investment professional whose experience spans real estate private equity investments and institutional brokerage. He has invested and participated in approximately +/-$2.0 billion in real estate transactions. As CEO of Midloch, Andy is involved in all facets of the business, including working with investors, making investment decisions, and overseeing the company's long-term growth. Prior to co-founding Midloch, Andy was a vice president at MLG Capital, a highly respected real estate private equity investment firm. Andy was responsible for MLG's private equity division, which oversaw the JV equity acquisitions and strategy. Prior to MLG, Andy was at Palmer Capital, an institutional real estate brokerage company based in California. He participated in approximately +/-$1 billion of real estate brokerage transactions across the West Coast. Andy considers himself a value investor with an appreciation for growth-oriented investing. He believes that people, management teams, and the right locations are the heartbeat of real estate. Andy's idols include Sam Zell (Equity Companies) and Howard Marks (Oaktree). He is a graduate of Marquette University with a degree in finance, real estate, and economics; and he remains active on Marquette's alumni real estate advisory board. Aside from work, Andy enjoys supporting Wisconsin sports teams, traveling, running marathons (four so far), and cycling."

Brian Kerns - CEO

Brian is the former Managing Director of CrowdStreet, the world's most successful online equity syndication marketplace. Founded in 2014, CrowdStreet has funded more than $2.8 Billion of equity across $22 Billion of real estate nationwide. Prior to joining CrowdStreet, Brian spent nearly a decade with the CoStar Group in their Financial Services units in Chicago, New York, and London where he built out their European Institutional Services business unit. Before CoStar, Brian was the Managing Director of Investment Services at Sperry Van Ness (SVN) in Chicago where he implemented the launch of SVN's entry into the Chicago market and lead the team up through the great recession. Prior to SVN, he was the Vice President of Business Development and Wealth Advisory at LaSalle National Bank / ABN AMRO in Chicago. Brian was responsible for the credit and wealth advisory business for the banks' high net worth individuals and families. Brian has served in the White House under the Clinton administration and is a past board member of JUF and the Robert Lurie Children's Memorial Hospital. He received an MBA from Loyola University Chicago and a joint degree in Political Science and International Relations from The American University in Washington, DC. He currently lives in Winnetka with his wife and 2 children.

Brooke Jackson

joined Midloch Investment Partners as Director of Investor Relations in March of 2022. Based in the Chicago Office, Ms. Jackson will focus on strengthening existing and expanding prospective investor relationships by managing investor communications and operations. Prior to Midloch, Ms. Jackson was Vice President, Multifamily Capital Markets, Debt & Structured Finance at Newmark, where she originated multifamily loans nationwide. She focused on lending directly through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and HUD, as well as placing debt through other various lender relationships, including Life Companies, Banks, Debt Funds, Bridge, and CMBS platforms. Before that, Ms. Jackson was a Vice President at SunTrust Bank, where she worked on direct lending via Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, bridge, and construction loan programs. Ms. Jackson is currently a member of CREW Chicago (Commercial Real Estate Executive Women), REIA (Real Estate Investment Association), ULI (Urban Land Institute), and a board member of REFF (Real Estate Finance Forum). Outside of the office, Ms. Jackson enjoys scooting through the city on her Vespa and spending time with her family at the Chicago beaches during the summer and the MSI when it's too cold to swim or SUP. Ms. Jackson holds degrees in Finance, Political Science, and International Business from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Jesse Hallstrom - CFO

Jesse joined Midloch in 2019 and currently manages and oversees the company's financial risks, planning, and reporting duties. He has spent the majority of his career in public accounting at local and regional firms, working primarily with real estate developers and investors on strategic planning and compliance. Jesse graduated from the University of Saint Thomas (MN) with a BA in financial management and accounting and is a certified public accountant. He enjoys taxes, the tax code, and getting angry at tax reform for making everyone's life more difficult. In his spare time, Jesse enjoys soccer, golf, home projects, board games, and the outdoors. These days, however, his life outside of work is mostly consumed by two sets of twins.

Tim Donovan

Job Titles:

Tim is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and closing all of our real estate acquisitions. Previously, Tim worked as an associate at MLG Capital on the acquisitions team and was responsible for underwriting multifamily, industrial office, and retail deals in markets across the country. Aside from underwriting and due diligence, Tim also co-led the Wisconsin deal sourcing team. Growing up the son of two teachers, a well-rounded education has always been important to Tim. He received a BS from Marquette University with a focus in the areas of finance and commercial real estate. Outside of the office Tim enjoys playing piano and guitar, is a CFA Level 1 candidate, and is attempting to learn how to surf.
