Philip Holmes started off working at John Flemmings Furniture Ltd and worked there until the age of 27. Rather cheekily Phil was also making furniture out of his garage at the same time, ...Naughty Phillip. Philip and Suzanne (the better looking half) decided they wanted to create their own business selling quality british manufactured furniture directly to trade. With a little help from Phil's Father (who spent most of his life in the upholstery industry at Guy Rogers Furniture) they established New England Design in their hometown of Todmorden where we have been ever since.
