O'Connell Youth Ranch was established in 1975 through a generous land gift from Mrs. Elsie O'Connell and her late husband, Dan. The Ranch continues to help youth throughout Kansas... We are excited to let you know that O'Connell Youth Ranch and the Children's Shelter have merged effective November 1. Collectively, we have 80 years of experience we bring together to serve at risk youth and families... Our ranch staff has the passion, vision and expertise needed to help give a child a second chance and a new start in life. They are trained to handle behavior problems caused by neglect, school peer pressure or other negative influences.
