PRIMA - Key Persons
Andrea now manages our distribution, operations, and marketing across Italy. But before this, he acted as our sales Director. It's thanks to him that we have our Intermediaries Network in Italy, making our ‘omni-channel' insurance distribution strategy possible. He brings a lot of experience to the table, having worked at The Boston Consulting Group before Prima. He holds an MBA from Columbia University in New York.

Anna focuses on our branding, advertising, PR and product strategy. Prior to Prima, she was Junior Partner at McKinsey in Milan, with expertise in strategy, big data and e-commerce projects. She also held the positions of Senior Vendor Manager at Amazon in Luxembourg and Marketing Manager at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York. She has an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Antonella makes sure everything we do complies with laws and industry regulations. Before joining us in 2020, she spent over five years as the Legal Affairs Officer at Assicurazioni Generali. Prior to that, she held the position of Senior Associate at Legance, an independent Italian law firm.
Anuj helps lead the build of a data-powered insurance experience for Prima customers. He's previously worked as Head of Platform Technology at GoTo. And before that, he wore many different hats at Amazon. These included Head of Platform Development for Alexa Data Services and Head of Business and Technology for their supply chain businesses. Anuj has also spent time at Bain & Company. Plus, he successfully started and ran Ubiquiti Inc India, a start-up focused on unlocking insights available in text.

Arianna has been a counsel at Studio Lexia Avvocati since January 2022. She's also registered with the Order of Chartered Accountants and on the Register of Auditors of Milan. Since graduating in Business Administration from Bocconi University, she's gained lots of experience in international tax consultancy firms. From 2012 to 2021, she practised at her own firm, where she helped national and multinational companies, in start-up and crisis stages, with civil and tax matters.

Cheryl leads our people and culture strategy, ensuring it reflects our global values. She has over 20 years' experience within HR, having previously worked at Vodafone, Cabot Credit Management and other companies in financial services. She's a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Plus, she's an accredited coach through the University of Middlesex and a certified practitioner in Neurolinguistics Programming.
Christian is a partner in Growth Equity within Goldman Sachs Asset Management having joined Goldman Sachs in 2004. He leads a team making growth equity investments ($30m to $250m) in software, technology and other high growth companies across Europe and Israel. Christian holds a BSc from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
David was CEO and Chairman of JGWPT (the holding company for J Wentworth and Peachtree). He transformed it from a bankrupt private company to an NYSE-listed business, valued at over $800M. Prior to JGWPT, he was EVP for Ace's $1.2B international accident and health insurance business. He was also CEO of Kemper Auto and Home Insurance and COO of Providian Direct Insurance. David began his insurance career with Progressive Insurance, where he held various roles. These include Division Controller, Senior Product Manager and National Customer Manager.

Emanuele is the Managing Director of Neurone, a technology-focused investment group. He oversees all investment activities and operations of the group. Before Neurone, he was a Vice President in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs, and he has over 12 years of investment banking experience at Goldman Sachs, Nomura and Lehman Brothers in London and New York.

Fabia makes sure all Prima communications align with our values and vision. She has more than 15 years' experience in her field, having previously worked as Communication Manager for FinecoBank and Corporate Communication Lead for MarshMcLennan. She started her career at McKinsey & Company. Fabia holds a specialisation on Corporate Communication.
Our co-founder George began preparations for Prima's launch in 2013. When we went live in 2015, he stepped up as our General Manager and helped secure our early success in Italy. He now serves as our CEO and is focused on taking Prima global. Before Prima, George worked as a consultant for The Boston Consulting Group. He holds two MBAs: one from IESE Business School and another from Columbia Business School.

Giacomo is an italian chartered accountant and manager. In 2012, he became a certified public accountant and auditor and has since practised at Studio Previtali, which he owns. He's a member of the board of directors and board of statutory auditors for several listed and unlisted companies. He holds a degree in Markets and Business Strategies from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
Ignacio played a key role in helping us launch Prima Spain. Today, he continues to lead the team to success in the Spanish market. He started his career at Monitor Deloitte, in advisory and consulting roles. He then held commercial and technical roles at the Admiral Group, where he gained all his insurance industry experience. He has an MBA from INSEAD.

Luca is a certified public accountant and auditor. He's also a partner at CT&P Commercialisti Associati, a leading corporate and tax consulting firm in Milan. A Business Administration graduate from Bocconi University, he began his career at Deloitte & Touche S.p.A. (formerly Arthur Andersen S.p.A.). He now performs ordinary and extraordinary tax and corporate consulting. He also holds numerous corporate positions as director, auditor and member of supervisory boards.

Massimo has been with Prima since the beginning. He started out as our Head of Underwriting and, following our international expansion, became Chief Underwriting Officer. He has no shortage of industry experience. Before Prima, he served as Head of Product for Zurich, a leading insurer. He also has two MBAs. The first is from UCLA Anderson School of Management. The second is from IESE Business School.
Massimo is a professor of practice at Bocconi University, where he leads Digital Tech at Bocconi 4 Innovation (B4I). He's also a Partner at Corporate Hangar, a venture builder that help turn innovative ideas into start-ups. He retired from Goldman Sachs in 2021, where he'd been a partner for over a decade. Before Goldman Sachs, Massimo was a Managing Director at JP Morgan from 1993 to 2006. He also worked at Credito Italiano from 1988 to 1993.

Matteo joined Prima in 2017 as our Head of Claims. He then stepped up to help lead the launch of Prima in the UK and Spain. More recently he has been doing the role of Chief Strategy Officer and Chief of Staff. And now his job is making sure that business initiatives taken by the countries and the tech teams are prioritized and executed in line with our business objectives. Prior to Prima, he worked at The Boston Consulting Group. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Matthew has significant Board and investment experience in Financial Services, Insurance and Price Comparison. As the former CEO of BGL Group, the leading digital distributor of insurance and household Financial Services in the UK and Europe, he founded Comparethemarket.com and led the business to achieve its market leading position. Matthew currently Chairs a number of private equity backed, high growth businesses including Three Rock Group in Ireland (incorporating Chill.ie), and Reassured the leading life insurance distributer in the UK, he also sits on the Board of Tandem Bank.
Mauro joined Prima in 2019 with the mission of managing our financials and building a team to make sure that the whole company pushes in the same direction by enforcing a framework of corporate value creation based on optimal growth, risk and return trade-offs. Before joining Prima, he worked at BCG, Oliver Wyman, KPMG and Aviva Group. Mauro is a qualified actuary in UK and Italy and holds a PhD in Actuarial Science from Sapienza University of Rome.

Nick owns commercial performance and operations in the UK, the first country where we began Prima's global expansion. Before joining us, he led the launch of Zopa's car finance business and was a management consultant for Oliver Wyman. He holds a First Class MEng degree in Engineering, Economics and Management from Oxford University.

Nicola is a Managing Director and Deputy Head of Carlyle Illiquid Credit in Europe. Before joining Carlyle, he was a Managing Director at Oz Management, focused on private credit investments. He was also an Associate in the Investment Banking Division at JPMorgan Chase Bank, where he was a member of both the Merger & Acquisitions and Leveraged Finance groups. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Bocconi University, plus an MBA from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.
