Georges-Pierre brings to Remer, Georges-Pierre & Hoogerwoerd, PLLC extensive experience in state and federal court civil litigation, especially in matters involving employee wrongful termination causes of actions; Fair Labor Standards Act; Florida Workers Compensation Act; Serious Personal Injury, Wrongful Death and Medical Malpractice causes of actions. Additionally, he has also presented victorious appeals and oral arguments before the State of Florida Third District Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Mr. Georges-Pierre is known in the legal community for aggressively pursuing his client's interests and works toward the best possible outcome in every case. In total, Mr. Georges-Pierre has recovered Millions of Dollars on behalf of his clients. He is not afraid to take a case to trial if he feels his client is not getting fair value from the insurance company and/or employer. Jason S. Remer, Founding Partner of Remer, Georges-Pierre & Hoogerwoerd, PLLC, has over 20 years of litigation experience as an active trial attorney. Mr. Remer has extensive legal experience in a variety of fields, including labor and employment law, workers' compensation law, corporate law, and personal injury law. While he is widely regarded as one of the top employment lawyers in the country, Mr. Remer prides himself on the personal attention he gives to each of his cases. Jorge L. Costa

Jorge L. Costa, born in Cuba and later emigrated to South Florida in 1998. Mr. Costa had the privilege of witnessing The Marlins win the world series in 2003 and The Heat take the NBA Finals in 2006, 2012, and 2013. Mr. Costa works with Remer, Georges-Pierre & Hoogerwoerd, PLLC, to provide his South Florida community (and beyond), with legal aid in the field of employment and labor law. Mr. Costa graduated from Broward College with an Associates in Arts degree, from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Science degree, and from the University of Miami with a Juris Doctor. Mr. Costa was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2021 and is actively practicing in Florida. Mr. Costa enjoys training for and running marathons and enjoys kayaking and the outdoors. During his time at the University of Miami Mr. Costa worked with the University of Miami's Children and Youth Law Clinic and also volunteered for UM Law's, DCI Legal Writing Courses. Mr. Costa has strong insight into labor and employment in Florida as a result of his many years of employment in a variety of fields. He has personal labor knowledge in the fields of education, food service, construction, real estate, plumbing, delivery services, research and development, etc.

Santiago Lavandera

Attorney Santiago Lavandera has been representing clients in South Florida for more than 20 years. He is a seasoned trial lawyer with extensive trial experience. He has litigated thousands of cases over the years and has countless jury trials to verdict. He believes that in order to appropriately represent his client's interests it is necessary to be prepared to go to trial on every case. He has lived in the Miami area all his life and has extensive contacts in the community both inside and outside of the legal community. Mr. Lavandera has worked in both the public and private sector representing a wide array of individuals and corporate clients in State and Federal Courts. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities including boating, fishing, cycling, and most of all, being a baseball dad to his 3 children. He attended the University of Miami School of Law, and graduated cum laude in 1999. He is a member of the Florida Bar since 1999, and is also admitted in the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Mr. Lavandera is fluent in Spanish.
