Beginning in 1932, Speedwell Design Center (now located at 108 Ridgedale Avenue) was doing business as Speedwell Paint & Hardware located on Speedwell Avenue. As its reputation for product and service excellence, value and good old-fashioned honesty blossomed, so did the opportunities for the expansion of interior design products like wood and laminate flooring, carpet, tile, and window treatment services and has now become northern New Jersey's preeminent business of its kind... Since 1929, The Seeing Eye, Inc. has been a fixture of our community. When driving through town one can't help but to see dogs in training. Speedwell Design Center is loyal to our home and contributes to the local community. One of the local organizations we support is The Seeing Eye, the oldest existing dog guide school in the world. The Seeing Eye's students - people who are blind or visually impaired - come from all over the United States and Canada to spend up to month training with their new Seeing Eye®..
