TAILORED INSPECTIONS - Key Persons
Charles is a Certified Master Inspector and owner of Tailored Inspections. Charles has more than 20 years of experience in both commercial and residential construction and utilities. He has held additional state licenses in water production, water distribution, wastewater collections, and radon testing. His devotion to building sciences in this evolving industry allows his team to make new technology and education a priority in their workflow.
Outside of Tailored Inspections, Charles loves investing his time in the local community. He is a proud Leadership Englewood Graduate (2020) and hosts an Annual Toys for Tot Tailgate during the Christmas season.

After earning a bachelor's degree in business at the University of Wisconsin, Mike Coates spent over 30 years in the marine trades in Alaska. During that time, Mike captained numerous vessels doing fishing and hunting charters as well as worked on tugs and barges in the oil spill response industry.
When he wasn't on a motor vessel, Mike enjoyed teaching kayaking. At one time, Mike had a huge passion for winter sports such as hockey and snowboarding. Now he has traded in his hockey skates and snowboard for a paddleboard and kayak more suitable for Florida waters. One of his most memorable adventures to date included skydiving the Grand Canyon with his daughter at sunrise one Easter Sunday.
