ACTUARIAL

An actuary is a business professional ​who analyzes and manages the financial consequences of risk and uncertainty. We play a critical role in assessing insurance policies, financial investments, and other risky ventures on the balance sheet. We primarily work for consulting firms, insurance companies, and the government... Theres is no Actuarial Science major or program in the University of Washington. Therefore, our group was started to address a huge knowledge gap present on campus. We serve as the campus's pathway for company recruitment and a source of industry news. We educate UW students with alumni in the field while connecting them with local employers through quarterly company visits and networking events... We, as future actuaries, dedicate our passion to diving deeper into this world and control the risk. Our mission is to teach and prepare you for succeeding in the actuarial profession.
