Alan L. Glenn

Alan L. Glenn is a seasoned professional who has had a wealth of experience in the nonprofit, financial services and education market segments. In the nonprofit industry he has led organizations and been a team member on others. In the financial services industry he has worked at some of the nation's most recognizable financial institutions. Mr. Glenn started his career as an educator, teaching in the NYC public school system. In the nonprofit industry, Mr. Glenn is currently the Executive Director of Without Walls Community Development Corporation ("WOWCDC"). The organization's mission is to "provide community support services to families", particularly in underserved communities. In WOWCDC's initial years it has decided to focus on providing affordable housing in the Western Addition and Fillmore communities. Alan was formerly the ED at the Economic Opportunity Corporation of San Francisco ("EOCSF"). The organization's mission was "to address the problem of poverty in San Francisco by focusing resources towards eliminating the causes, conditions and impacts of poverty". EOCSF served the City and County of San Francisco. He has also been a team member of the San Francisco Conservation Corp., where he was the Associate Director, External Relations and Strategic Planning and the Stanford University Athletics Department, where he was an Assistant Athletics Director. Mr. Glenn is a seasoned financial professional with a broad array of experiences in the financial marketplace, fundraising, banking, and deal-making. Mr. Glenn has had a myriad of successes in initiating, structuring, negotiating, and carrying to completion a number of transactions and providing services and products for the benefit of his clients. He has 25+ years' experience in the financial services industry, working for some of the country's largest and most storied financial institutions, including: J.P. Morgan & Co. (predecessor institution Manufacturers' Hanover Trust), PaineWebber, Bank of America, Wells Fargo & Co., Morgan Stanley and New York Life. As a professional, Alan raised in excess of $4 billion of capital for corporate concerns, individuals, start-up companies and project specific financings. He also worked with his clients to implement innovative financial strategies to benefit corporations and individuals. In the early stage of his career, Mr. Glenn was an educator in the New York City Board of Education, of which he is a product. He taught in both the high and junior high school environments. Mr. Glenn also sits, or has sat, on a number of boards, including: The Hebrew Free Loan Association (Non-Sectarian Loans Affiliate, Pollack Community Loan Fund). The African-American Interest Free Loan Association, of which he is the Treasurer. The San Francisco Black Film Festival. The African-American Shakespeare Company. The Brown University Advisory Council on Athletics. Alan is a graduate of Brown University, with a degree in Mathematical Economics and Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, with a concentration in Finance. He has held his Series 7 and 63 securities licenses, as well as his Life and Health Insurance license in the State of California. He has a 26-year old daughter.

Thurman V. White

Thurman retired in 2020 as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Progress Investment Management Company, LLC ("Progress"). Progress is a San Francisco, CA based leader in investing with diverse investment managers across the U. S. Thurman provided strategic leadership in various areas of the business during his 28-year tenure. At its peak, the firm managed over $7 billion in assets for some of the largest institutional investors in the U. S. Progress provided its clients with competitive investment returns, in addition to access to diverse talent, through its capability-building work with minority- and woman-owned investment firms. Thurman chaired the Progress board of directors and continues as Managing Member of the firm's ownership entity. He led successful M&A transactions to sell the firm in 1998 and reacquire it in 2004; returning the firm to independent status. Progress ended its investment advisory business effective mid-year 2020. Prior to joining Progress, Thurman worked in public policy and later marketing for a Fortune 100 corporation. Early on in his career he served as legal counsel for a California legislative committee specializing in utility and telecommunications policy oversight, and as a federal agency staff attorney. He earned his undergraduate degree at Princeton University, and graduate degrees from Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley Law. Thurman has served on several boards, both for profit and non-profit. He is an angel investor, licensed attorney, and is active in his church. Thurman is married (Eileen), lives in San Mateo, California, and has three adult sons.
