Beth Carnegie

Beth is our Showroom, Studio and Design Assistant and having worked as a trainee legal executive for five years, she's very well equipped for the role. Beth joined ASD to fulfil a long standing desire to forge a career in a creative industry, specifically landscape design. She has a strong passion and keen eye for design and has proved to be comfortable and effective working amongst professional designers. Beth's knowledge of horticulture, landscaping and design continues to grow day by day. Beth is the first team member you'll liaise with to manage your bookings and enquiries, she'll also attend site visits to assist the deign team, helps manage the showroom material collections and your orders.

Jack Taylor

Jack is one of our talented 3D visualisers. Jack provides a range of high-quality visuals for the teams' concept designs, which includes a selection of 3D renders, illustrated lighting schemes and animated fly-throughs. Jack has a degree in and years of experience in product design which over laps heavily with the garden design process. Jack is always looking to evolve and try out new technologies, with the key goal being to immediately engage and excite our clients through clear and inspiring visuals.

Sam Mercer

Job Titles:
  • Designer and Landscape Consultant
Sam is a designer and landscape consultant at ASD. Having gained a breadth of experience in the landscaping industry working for successful landscaping design and build companies, Sam has used his expertise to transform hundreds of gardens. His wide-ranging experience enables him to have an overarching understanding of the design and landscaping process from initial client consultation through to construction completion. Sam has a love of art and design of all types and is passionate about introducing these disciplines into outdoor living spaces. He is usually the first team member you'll meet during an initial onsite consultation, to arrange your site survey and analysis, your main contact at the tendering stage and also during the construction of your garden.

Stuart Thomas

Job Titles:
  • Senior Landscape and Garden Designer
Stuart joined the team in 2020 and is our senior designer. He is qualified in garden and landscape design and has accumulated nearly fifteen years' experience in the industry. Stuart has worked in several highly successful landscape design practices and has impressive horticultural knowledge, a background in architecture and hands-on project management experience. Stuart is a versatile designer with a preference for understated, elegant designs and seasonal planting schemes that come to life alongside precise hardscape detailing. Stuart is a great believer in the inspirational nature of the RHS and garden shows - having worked hands-on with designers of three Chelsea Flower Show gardens, and on two show gardens on a consultancy, design and visualisation basis. Stuart works closely with Andy and the team on every project, he is the main contact once the design process is underway.

Tessa Allen

Job Titles:
  • Garden Designer and Showroom Assistant
Tessa recently graduated from the prestigious Inchbald School of Design with Distinction, and is an enthusiastic champion of contemporary garden design, naturalistic planting and sustainable architecture. She has designed and brought to life a number of projects throughout Hampshire and West Sussex, and is devoted to delivering exceptional design and customer service. Tessa works closely with Andy and the design team to assist and deliver design projects, whilst also managing client communication and the ASD showroom.
