Arwa Al

Arwa Al-Khaburi

Arwa graduated from Bristol University in 1999 and worked in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for two years in Oman. Following that she worked in primary dental health care and it was during this period she attained Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Her experience culminated in her decision to undertake a 4-year specialist training programme in Periodontology at Guy's Hospital in London where she was awarded the MClinDent in Periodontology with King's College, and the Diploma for the Membership in Periodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. To further enhance her learning and surgical skills, she undertook a further year of training and has obtained an Advanced Clinical Postgraduate Certificate in Periodontology and Implantology from King's College. Arwa has a strong commitment to training and education, and enjoys teaching Periodontology to undergraduate students at Guys Hospital. Arwa frequently attends national and international clinical meetings and conferences to supplement her periodontal training and enhance her surgical skills. Arwa provides a comprehensive range of non-surgical and surgical periodontal treatments including open flap debridement, pocket reduction surgery, periodontal regeneration, crown lengthening and mucogingival periodontal plastic surgery. Other treatment includes provision of implants and management of peri-implantitis.

Catherine Clair

Catherine Clair BSc (Hons) Ost, DO, is a registered osteopath who graduated in 2005 from the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone, Kent after four years of training, two of which were in France.

Antonio de Vivo BDS (Wits) Dip Imp RCS (Eng) is our Implant Surgeon. He graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in 1991 with an academic award in paediatric dentistry.

Dr Guy McLellan

Job Titles:

Dr Guy McLellan BDS FDS RCS (Eng) MBBS is doubly qualified in dentistry and medicine and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Guy McLellan has over 10 years' hospital experience including training in ENT and plastic surgery and currently holds a Honorary Consultant post in Oral Implantology at Charing Cross Hospital where he runs the dental implant clinic. His experience in implants dates back to 1994 and includes extra-oral implants to retain facial cosmetics/reconstruction following facial cancer surgery as well as intra-oral cancer rehabilitation and facial deformities such as cleft lip and palate. He continues to work as a member of the Cranio-Facial team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. In private practice he limits his practice to surgical implantology and augmentation procedures including complex intra-oral and extra-oral grafting. He is a mentor for Nobel Biocare and is actively involved in Implant education. He is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI), the European Association of Osseointegration and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.He is a mentor for Nobel Biocare and the ADI. GDC registration no. 69883.

Dr Ian Kerr BDS

Dr Ian Kerr BDS qualified as a dentist in 1989 from Newcastle University Dental School and has worked ever since in both private practice and hospital settings. Following a short stint in a busy general dentist practice in the North East Dr Ian Kerr went to live and work in Trinidad, where he learnt a wide range of surgical skills and developed an interest in the treatment of tempera-mandibular joint dysfunction (TMD). On returning to the UK in 1994 Dr Kerr worked in a prestigious private dentist practice in Bromley in Kent. During his time there he completed extensive post graduate training in advanced restorative techniques and further advanced his interest in TMD. From 2000 to the current date Dr Kerr has added to his busy private practice time by taking up posts at Kings Dental School in London where he has worked and lectured in the field of endodontics and restorative care. He also worked at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital on the consultant clinic for restorative problems. Dr Kerr is an active member of the British Endodontic Society, British Society of Restorative Dentistry and the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Ian has made a life-long commitment to learning and completed a Certificate in Implantology in 2015 and is now working on his Diploma in Restorative dentistry which he hopes to complete by the end of 2016. When not at work or studying Ian divides his spare time between his family and several dubious "Middle Aged Man in Lycra" pursuits and, when he is brave enough, a spot of open water swimming.

Dr Matthew McNulty

Dr Matthew McNulty qualified in 2011 from Newcastle University Dental School. Having completed vocational training in Banstead alongside implant surgeons and specialist dentists, Dr McNulty subsequently completed foundation training at East Kent Hospitals, working for a year in the Oral and Maxillofacial department, attaining the MFDS and Diploma in Primary Dental Care qualifications during that time. Passionate about providing high quality dentistry, Dr McNulty has completed two year advanced restorative courses under the tutelage of Professor Paul Tipton and is currently working towards a diploma in restorative dentistry. In his spare time Matthew enjoys spending time with family, and playing sport and music.

Jo Penfold

Having grown up locally Jo joined the team at StoneRock straight after completion of her A Levels. Over the years she has become an integral part of what StoneRock represents and a key member of the team. Beginning her dental career as a trainee nurse and now overseeing our nursing team, Jo also takes responsibility for ensuring StoneRock maintains its own high standards and is fully prepared for the now compulsory external inspections within the industry. Away from work, Jo is enjoying spending time with her husband and their Jack Russell before the arrival of their first baby in the Spring.

Pawel Lasota

Pawel Lasota has joined StoneRock Dental Care as a Clinical Dental Technician. Pawel initially qualified as a dental technician in Europe and is now one of the few recognised Clinical Dental Technicians qualified in England. He received a distinction from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2013. At StoneRock we recognise that in some situations the clinical dental technician is uniquely placed to carry out the clinical stages and the technical work necessary when providing denture treatment for a patient and, in Pawel Lasota, we have one of the few clinical professionals who is qualified to do this work.
