It was a strong lineage, too. Amanda's grandfather was a plumber, and her father worked on septic systems. They dreamed that Amanda would follow in their footsteps as a professional engineer. Bob Schrider

Bob joined Balfour Beatty in 1993 as a chief estimator and has contributed to numerous landmark projects over the years including Capitol Crossing and NPR's new headquarters.

Brian Cahill

A 40-year construction industry veteran, Brian Cahill joined Balfour Beatty in 1993 when it was known as Barnhart, Inc. in San Diego, California. In 2015, Brian was promoted to his current position as president of California, overseeing operations and business acquisitions throughout California and Arizona. Throughout his career, Brian's leadership skills and industry expertise have been acknowledged through several avenues including recently being named one of San Diego's 500 Most Influential Leaders by the San Diego Business Journal for his leadership, dedication to our Zero Harm safety culture and continuous commitment to the communities where we build. He has also co-authored a book, Humanizing the Education Machine, which explores the many challenges facing public education today. Brian is a Certified Construction Manager and a LEED® Accredited Professional: he holds a degree in aviation science from San Diego Mesa College and attended San Diego State University. He is also a certified flight instructor and served for five years in the U.S. Navy as a deep-sea diver, having graduated from the U.S. Navy Deep Sea Diver School in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Chad Brewer is a born builder. His dad has worked in construction his entire career, so Chad grew up on job sites, and construction is all he's ever wanted to do. When he graduated from college, he turned to his dad for recommendations on good companies. Lucky for us, Balfour Beatty was on that list. Chad started with us as a project engineer in 1998, and he has worked his way up the ranks to operations director for the Fort Worth office, but he has never forgotten his first projects, and the lessons he learned. In his role, Chad Brewer is actively involved with all phases of projects and works closely with clients to ensure their goals are met. He began his career as a project engineer and worked his way up to managing some of the largest local projects, including the Gaylord Texan Resort and Conference Center and the Omni Dallas Convention Center Hotel.

Eric Stenman began his career in construction with boots on the ground - as a plumbing contractor. He owned his own business and later became a general contractor while also putting himself through college and law school. His tenure with the company began in 2001, when he served as vice president and general counsel for Douglas E. Barnhart. Eric's strong leadership and construction business acumen led to his promotion to president of that business in 2007. Barnhart was acquired by Balfour Beatty in 2008 and since then, Eric has served in several national leadership roles including his current role as Balfour Beatty US president. Under his leadership, the company has achieved the leverage and scale of national capabilities, operational excellence standards, team growth and development, and industry innovation. Some of the prestigious and award-winning projects that comprise Eric's impressive career with Balfour Beatty include the $221 million San Diego County Women's Detention Facility, a design-build, 1,216-bed facility that, through its innovative and campus-like design, creates a rehabilitative environment that prepares inmates for re-entry into civilian life. The project has been honored with 11 industry and sustainability awards. The $103 million J. Iris Canary, an assistant superintendent on the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFWIA) Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program, is part of the team currently working on the 400,000-square-foot renovation of Terminal A Phase III. This project is a significant interior remodel, as well as a replacement of all back-of-house systems. "The job site is vast, we easily walk eight to 10 miles a day," stated Iris. As assistant superintendent, Iris says one of her favorite things about her job is interacting with people, collaborating with the team, and solving problems. Iris wants to ensure project success by building trust and open communication with owners and trade partners, so at the end of the day, we deliver on their dream and their vision.

Janice Lowery

Jason began his legal career in private practice in Washington, D.C., relocated to the Philadelphia area where he served as general counsel for a large privately owned regional general contractor, then returned to private practice. He has represented general contractors, owners, developers, subcontractors, and sureties. Jason returned to the D.C. area to join Balfour Beatty in 2016. Jason received his law degree from The George Washington University Law School. He is licensed to practice in Virginia, D.C., Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

Kasey earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in business computer information systems from the University of North Texas in 1992 and has completed graduate work at the University of Wisconsin. She is a member of several executive advisory boards/councils such as Procore, Autodesk and Microsoft. In 2015, Constructech magazine named Kasey to its prestigious "Women in Construction" list at the publication's Technology Day event. In her free time, Kasey serves as a volunteer on charity boards and enjoys golfing, pickleball, snowboarding and watching college football.
