AMBERSTONE - Key Persons
Aimee was born and raised in the Bay Area. She graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship. After graduation, she joined Piper Sandler as an Investment Banking Analyst focused on the consumer vertical, particularly the restaurant sector. After completing her analyst program at Piper, she joined Alliance Consumer Growth. At ACG, she invested in and worked closely with several high-growth brands across the consumer landscape with a focus on food & beverage. Aimee joined Amberstone as a Senior Associate and continues to lead sourcing, diligence, and portfolio partner support efforts.

Alex was born and raised in Washington, DC through middle school. At 14, Alex moved to NYC with his family where he attended high school, before heading to Brown University to study American history and economics. At Brown, Alex was known as the "speed specialist" on the men's varsity ski team.
James was born and raised in Australia, graduating as class valedictorian from Bond University with joint degrees in law and commerce before starting his career in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs in Sydney.
James moved to the United States in 2015 to start his MBA at HBS, where he was an avid member of the HBS's golf and rugby clubs, and during which time his passion for consumer brands and investing flourished. While at HBS, James worked in operating roles at &pizza and Healthy Spot, two growth equity backed multi-unit retail chains in DC and LA respectively. After graduating in 2017, James joined Alex as a Principal at The Production Board in San Francisco, spending time exploring investment opportunities across the spectrum of the food and agriculture supply chain - from in-field production, to consumer products.
When Alex left The Production Board in 2019 to start Amberstone, James joined him as a founding partner. As well as acting as a full investment partner, James also runs investor relations and fund operations for the firm.

Nick was born and raised in California. He attended the University of Southern California where he earned a BA in both Economics and Political Science. Nick also earned an MBA from USC where he graduated Dean's List and was chosen in his second year as the recipient of the Provident Investment Counsel Endowed Scholarship.
Prior to co-founding Amberstone in 2019, Nick ran Trail Post Ventures (TPV), a consumer products focused independent sponsor where he led investment thesis development, deal execution and portfolio company management. Prior to TPV, Nick was an Associate in Piper Sandler's Investment Banking division where he covered the consumer vertical. Before joining Piper, Nick was an investing partner and General Manager of a high-end, Mexican restaurant concept where he ran finance and operations, and helped determine expansion plans, while simultaneously overseeing day-to-day operations. Nick also held an Associate role with THL Credit, focusing on management buyout and leveraged buyout transactions in the consumer space. Nick began his career in investment banking at North Point Advisors where he focused on the consumer vertical.
