In the late 1960's after working in the construction industry for several years, Miles "Atlas" Foglesong along with his father James McGregor went to work for themselves and began installing commercial roofs in Paducah, KY. Miles operated the business until 1984 when his son Mark Foglesong took over the family business and officially formed Atlas Roofing Company. Atlas Roofing Company operated until 1991 when the company was restructured and incorporated as Atlas Roofing Contractors, Inc.
