Primarily base metal focused, he has worked for Cominco American and Teck Resources for 23 years, including 13 years at the Pend Oreille Pb-Zn underground mine where he served as Chief Geologist. He also served as Chief Geologist at the Alexco Resources underground narrow vein Ag-Pb-Zn mine in the Yukon, senior geologist on Novagold's Arctic Project in Alaska, and seven years as senior geologist for the Tintina Resources (Sandfire) Black Butte Copper project in central Montana.
