Anne Giebel

Anne is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Washington, DC and Maryland. She has worked in a variety of settings with children, adolescents and adults since 2013. Prior to becoming a therapist, Anne was a seventh grade school teacher. Before beginning private practice, she worked as a school-based mental health therapist in numerous schools across DC. Anne received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh and her Masters of Social Work from The Catholic University of America. Anne has immense experience working with clients managing depression, anxiety, anger management and stress tolerance. Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and expressive art therapy are a few of the interventions she uses with clients. The core of Anne's work is based on the relationship between client and therapist. She feels that before any intervention comes connection, trust, and rapport-building. Anne believes in people's ability to get through challenging times, and finds fulfillment in supporting individuals on this journey. Anne hopes to instill confidence in her clients and to act as a guide to the tools and skills clients have within them. Anne's work is primarily strengths-based, as she strongly believes in the client's resilience.

Chanel Mason

Over the past 15 years, Chanel has worked closely with children, adolescents, and young adults in a variety of settings in both Connecticut and Washington DC. She received her Masters of Social Work from Fordham University and a Bachelors of Science from Southern Connecticut State University. Chanel strives to be a facilitator and keeper of the therapeutic space that emphasizes care, compassion, joy, and client centered healing. Using a strengths based approach, she is dedicated to empowering clients of all ages to view themselves as resilient despite past or current circumstances.

Taylor Sinton

Job Titles:
  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
Taylor is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who provides individual therapy to children and adolescents. Taylor earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut and received her Masters of Social Work from Fordham University in Westchester, New York. Taylor has experience providing therapeutic services to kids in public schools throughout the District. She has also served as a school social worker at a K-8 charter school. Taylor has worked with children and adolescents who experience anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, grief, and anger outbursts. She also has experience with behavior management, crisis support, and working with children and teens on improving their communication and social skills. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with adolescents has been a focus of Taylor's therapy work. She also utilizes a variety of other evidence based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, behavior modification, and trauma informed care. Through a strengths-based and person-centered approach, Taylor recognizes the importance of building a therapeutic relationship as she believes it's the foundation for effective therapy. Taylor is passionate about creating a supportive and collaborative environment where clients are comfortable with expressing themselves and exploring ways to overcome life challenges.
