Audrey joined the group in 2017 to provide organizational and administrative support. She is responsible for the collection of patient data for reporting purposes. She also updates the website from time to time.
She spends time engaging with patients to learn about their medical condition and history, and assist with making sure patients receive their prescribed medications and participated in the distribution of personal care supplies, books, clothing, toys and goodies for the various age groups. Her love for helping those in need leads us to visit orphanages and youth groups to give pep talks and donations.

Christopher G. Goring is a dedicated surgeon with a diverse professional background that includes military and civilian training. His heightened awareness of global healthcare needs stems from his deployment to Iraq and volunteer efforts in Guyana. Dr. Goring has been serving the people of Guyana by performing orthopedic surgery at the New Amsterdam Regional Hospital.

James T. Cort, MD was born in Guyana. He is a doctor of Internal Medicine and has his private practice in East Orange, NJ. Dr. Cort received his MD at Howard University, USA and is the co-founder of Guyana Medical Mission. Since its inception in 2005, Dr. Cort continues to serve the people of Guyana and has never missed a beat.

James Melville is a retired telemetry nurse. James is dedicated to giving back and works tirelessly towards making sure the mission team is always ready to serve. He also served in the US Army. He has a love for cars and spends his spare time rebuilding classics!

James Reynolds, a Guyanese by birth, was raised in Belladrum, West Coast Berbice and completed his primary education at St. Alban's Anglican School and won a four-year scholarship I attend Victoria High School in New Amsterdam. He migrated to the USA January of 1968. Dr. Reynolds attended Howard University in Washington DC and in 1973 earned his BS, (magna cum laude) and a Masters in Organic Chemistry. In 1975 he attended the University of Pennsylvania Medical School where he obtained his MD degree in 1979. After serving with the US Public Health Service for two years and completing a brief stint in private practice he served in several medical directorship positions until retiring in 2013.
It was in September 2012 that Dr. Reynolds made his first trip to Guyana with the Guyana Medical Mission and have returned every year with the group since then. Since 2013 he has also made annual trips with the Probeldad group, providing pediatric primary care to the Belladrum residents. He has also devoted some of his efforts during those periods to providing some much needed resources to the Belladrum Primary School. Dr Reynolds says his goal is to dedicate as much of his time as possible to improve the health and educational standards in Belladrum.

Joyce has been a member of the team since 2008. Her years of experience in the medical profession includes working as Regional Infection Control Coordinator at Corizon in Central Florida; Regional Health Services Administrator at CEC, New Jersey; Health Services Administrator at PHS in New Jersey, Staff RN at Beth Israel and Chilton Hospital in New Jersey and Director of Nursing Whitehouse Nursing Home in New Jersey.
In addition, she is also an active member of the Caribbean Medical Mission and has performed missionary work in Ghana, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica and Belize which coincides with her love for travelling.
Joyce is now retired and resides in Florida. She loves travelling, playing Freecell and spending time spoiling her grandchildren.

Lennox Alves, MD was born in Guyana. He received his MD at State University of MY at Buffalo School of Medicine. Dr. Alves is a general surgeon, licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey.

Michael B. Scott, MD, FACS, FICS was born in Guyana. He graduated from Northwestern University Medical School and is a Board Certified Urologist. Dr. Scott looks forward to visiting Guyana every year where he performs surgeries at the New Amsterdam Regional Hospital. In addition Dr. Scott's special interests include archeology, with focus on Ancient Egypt, poetry, playwriting and his service as President with the Guyana Medical Relief since 1984.
