Jeff Farrell

Jeff came to work for the family business in 2017 after swearing to 1) never work in an office setting 2) never move back to Santa Rosa and 3) and never showing in interest in the family business. After graduating college from Washington State University, Jeff worked in several senior leadership roles across the resort, restaurant and retail industries in Arizona and California. Outside of work you can find Jeff at a sporting event or enjoying the culinary array of wine country. Jeff wants a dog but is currently at odds with his wife over which breed to get.

Kevin Farrell - Founder

Kevin grew up in Sonoma County before heading off to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo to receive his BArch in 1983. He also spent an unforgettable year studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. Together with Shaun Faber, he founded the award-winning architecture firm, Farrell Faber and Associates in 1989 and continues to be its managing principal. Kevin has been married 34 years. He and his wife, Kim, have two children - a son who is a business strategist for hybridCore Homes and a daughter who is a Spanish teacher at Elsie Allen High School. Kevin is an avid cyclist and has been a coach for Team in Training. His other interests include traveling and cooking and he is a die-hard San Jose Sharks fan. He also enjoys serving others as a deacon in his church.

Margaret Kim

Job Titles:
  • Office Administrator
Margaret is a consummate professional creating and managing an office environment that promotes efficiency and happiness. One of her former employers stated, "Every office needs a Margaret". She's a native of Sonoma County and a die hard lover of fashion, movies, cooking and design. Making people feel comfortable and at ease is something she prides herself on.

Matt Taylor

Job Titles:
  • Lead Designer
Matt Taylor brings over 8 years of architectural experience in residential design to his role as Lead Designer. Originally drawn to art and architecture in his youth, he has refined his skills through architectural education and managing the firm's project portfolio. Matt grew up in the Bay Area, graduating from Cardinal Newman High School and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo receiving his Bachelor of Architecture in 2010. He also spent time studying Italian architecture in Rome, Italy. Matt appreciates all things architecture, design and construction. His other interests include traveling, hiking, camping, cooking, golf, SCUBA diving and fishing, and he is a lifelong A's and 49ers fan. He also enjoys volunteering in the community, particularly using his skills for facilities improvements to a local Boy Scouts camp.

Shaun Faber - Founder

Along with Kevin Farrell, Shaun was a founder of Farrell Faber and Associates in 1989 and was the creative force behind many of its award-winning designs. His inspiration was a driving force in creating hybridCore Homes and keeping it on the forefront of innovation. Despite having no formal training, Shaun had a natural eye for good design which he was always honing through his travels. Unfortunately, we lost Shaun at the young age of 50 in October of 2017. He left behind his wife Karin and his three children. His two sons, Zak and Scott are following in his footsteps by working in the Construction Management field and his daughter, Katie, is using her design skills studying at FIDM Fashion Institute.
