Bret Weber

Job Titles:

Bret joined M&W Hydraulics in August of 2020 as Quality Manager. With over 20 years in manufacturing, Bret has experience in supervision, process improvement, education, and CNC programming. Bret is a retired veteran from the Iowa National Guard. He holds an AAS from Hawkeye Community College in CNC machining and is a recipient of the 30 under 30 award from the SME publication, Manufacturing Engineering.

Charley Martin

Job Titles:
  • Estimator
  • Mechanical Engineer
Charley has a mechanical engineering degree from Iowa State University and has been involved in manufacturing for almost 40 years. His experience ranges from setting up CNC machines to programming and inspecting parts on coordinate measuring machines. He managed a contract machine shop before joining M&W and performed all of the estimating for that facility.

Daniel Musil - Founder, President

Daniel received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University and his master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Iowa. Before founding M&W Hydraulics to focus on custom hydraulic manifolds, his work experience included design and development of hydraulic chain trenchers and hydrostatic seed corn detasseling equipment. He has a Professional Engineer Certification - PE #9802 1982.

John Buresh

Job Titles:
  • Engineering Manager
John oversees the growing engineering and programming department at M&W. He has been designing custom hydraulic manifolds at M&W since 1994, and he has helped countless customers refine and improve their manifold systems. John has made significant contributions to manifold technology from early CAD to development of new CAM and CMM inspection software and processes. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and a Master's of Science degree in industrial engineering.

Paul Kurt

Job Titles:
  • Plant Manager
Paul joined M&W in March 2020 as plant manager. Paul has 17 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, including work at Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is a graduate of Hawkeye Community College with an AAS degree in CNC machining and programming, and obtained his bachelor's degree in business management from Upper Iowa University.
