ORTOMI

Our mission is to create and share the joy of companionship with as many people as we can - and make a difference in people's lives even if in just a small way. We have seen Ortomi really help people with their mental health, especially anxiety and loneliness. This really inspires us to continue making Ortomi better every day!... Ortomi comes from the word ‘Automata' - machines designed to imitate life. We strive to create products that help people as much as (if not more than) real animals and living things... Ortomi began in 2021 as a student project by co-founders, Sam and Christian, with the goal of trying to capture the comforting presence of a real pet. The first Ortomi prototype did nothing more than blink and stare but received a great deal of support and positive feedback which encouraged us to begin building and assembling several more.
