Abigail Webb - CFO

Abigail Webb joined QCS as Chief Financial Officer in February 2022. Prior to joining QCS, Abigail was CFO of Tyler Capital, a leading algorithmic derivatives trading and software company, where she managed both the Finance and HR teams. Abigail qualified as a Chartered Accountant with EY and has over 20 years' experience in the Financial Services industry, more recently executing a corporate and regulatory restructuring and a successful external equity raising. Abigail has a keen interest in driving company culture and maintaining the mental and physical wellbeing of staff. She enjoys active holidays with her family and frequently participates in sprint triathlons and half marathons. Abigail is an ACA member of the ICAEW.

Alison Lowerson

Alison has worked in general practice management for 18 years, with experience managing both large and small medical practices providing a wide range of services. Alison has worked closely with her local Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), Federation, Primary Care Network (PCN) and the Local Medical Committee, and in 2018 she supported countywide practices with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance. She has a passion for supporting primary care and practice managers through the many challenges they face and is a Governor at her local Primary School. Alison holds a postgraduate Diploma in Primary Care & Health Management (DPCHM).

Barry Price

Barry started his Social Care career in 2005 as a care assistant in a Brain Injury and Rehabilitation centre. Since then he has progressed through this journey including holding Registered Manager and Nominated individual roles. His career has taken him on a varied adventure through the sector working within; Learning disabilities, Autism, Older Peoples Services as well as Dementia, Brain injuries and Mental Health Services. He has also spent an interesting time within Forensics, the prison service and Young Offenders. Working for a host of providers from single operators to some of the UK's largest providers, Barry has developed as a specialist in reorganisation, systems and process where the love of structure and order has given him a keen eye on forms and paperwork. His recent work projects include turnaround management, restructures business development, setting up new business' from scratch. Barry has a passion for working alongside adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs leading teams to ensure that high-quality person-centred care and support is at the forefront at all times.

Cathy Cooke

Cathy began her career over 40 years ago as a community pharmacist before gaining broad experience working across a range of settings including extensive primary care experience as: community pharmacist; prescribing support pharmacist working with a range of GP practices; and Head of Medicines Management within a large UK Health and Social Care Provider. As a Vice Chairman of NICE (The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) - the Managing Medicines for People Receiving Social Care in the Community Group - she helped to ensure people had access to services and was recently was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), the body responsible for the leadership and support of the pharmacy profession within England, Scotland and Wales. Cathy is a member of several groups, including a member of the NHS England National health and Justice Pharmacy Advisory Group and a board member of the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine (Royal College of Physicians).

Charlotte Nuttall

Charlotte is an employment law solicitor based at Napthens' Blackburn office. Advising HR managers, directors and other decision-makers on a day to day basis, Charlotte provides pragmatic, commercially focused advice and guidance to employers on all aspects of HR and employment law. She advises on key employment documentation, including the review and drafting of contracts of employment, service agreements, company handbooks and bespoke policies. She guides businesses through issues including disciplinary and grievance processes, performance management issues and sickness absence together with more strategic and complex issues in connection with Employment Tribunal claims, redundancy exercises and re-organisation and TUPE related matters. Charlotte acts for businesses ranging from PLCs through to owner-managed businesses across all sectors, advising employers on a wide range of employment law and day to day HR issues. She also regularly delivers in-house and bespoke training options to HR teams and line managers and regularly presents at seminars and partnered events on a variety of employment law topics. Charlotte joined Napthens in 2012 after training at Laytons Solicitors, Manchester and qualifying in 2011. She completed her law degree (LLB) at Lancaster University and attended BPP Law School, Manchester.

Chris Boyle

Chris is head of Napthens' employment law team. He acts for businesses on a full range of employment law issues ranging from day to day HR advice through to Employment Tribunal claims including unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE and breach of contract. He also deals with commercial agents' disputes and High Court breach of contract claims. Chris acts for all types of businesses and organisations from SMEs through to public companies, across industry sectors and also acts for individual directors and senior employees. He contributes regularly to the regional and business press on employment law issues and provides regular updates to businesses on employment law topics. Chris joined Napthens in 2004, becoming partner in 2008. As head of the employment team Chris has overseen the growth of a highly successful department, with an expanding range of services and specialisms. At the heart of this growth has been the success of Napthens' employment law retainer service, HR3, along with the development of training services and HR consultancy. Chris is a member of the Employment Lawyers' Association.

Chris Cox

Chris is responsible for QCS' strategic technology architecture and lives by the fundamental principle that technology should be 'an enabler' and not 'an encumberment'. Chris is also Information Security Officer for QCS with DPO responsibilities, including implementing and auditing our data protection and information security processes, and educating and training our staff. Chris draws upon a diverse set of experience amassed from a number of sectors including finance, retail, travel, digital agency, telephony and healthcare. He has operated across all tiers of software delivery, ranging from Junior Developer to Chief Technology Officer. Chris loves to spend time with his family, enjoys keeping fit and active, reads widely, has recently completed a MSc in Computing Science and is a proponent of lifelong learning.

Chris King

Chris is a solicitor in the Employment team based at Napthens' East Lancashire office. Chris handles a range of general Employment and HR matters for employers from day-to-day Employment Law and HR advice to complex TUPE and collective redundancy matters. Chris has carried out work for clients ranging from Small and Medium-sized Enterprises through to large Multinationals and PLCs across a wide-range of sectors. In addition to his experience in general HR and Employment Law advice, Chris has experience in negotiation of settlement agreements, employment support work on mergers and acquisitions and disciplinary and capability dismissals. Chris prides himself on giving commercially-focussed advice and understanding the employer's objectives with a view to working towards those. Chris qualified as a solicitor at Napthens in September 2016.

Damaris Daniels

Damaris joined QCS in 2019 to become its Policy Operations Manager. Since then Damaris has taken on the role of Operations Manager and, more recently, Content Director. Damaris has a passion for ensuring QCS provides great quality content that not only meets the needs of those working on the front lines of the social care and health sectors, but helps maintain a strong relationship with our customers. Damaris has proven experience in content production and brings drive, passion and cutting-edge ideas to the leadership team. Damaris has previously spent sixteen years working in the language industry and the legal sector industry, producing high-quality material in a highly complex, technical and fast-paced environment.

Dr Lucy Loveday

Dr Lucy Loveday: @drlucyloveday (MRCGP, PG Cert Clinical Education) is founder of Movement & The Mind®; a pioneering multidisciplinary platform showcasing the latest research from leaders in the field for the benefits of physical activity for mental health & brain development & mindfulness for human performance. Lucy is particularly interested in the benefits of nature based activity for mental health and wellbeing & is a real advocate for this as a way of life. Lucy lives on Dartmoor with her young family. As a keen fell runner and wild swimmer, Lucy enjoys living life without a smart phone & spending her time connecting with people in the real world. Ideally in green or blue spaces! As a qualified GP & experienced medical educationalist, Lucy has a varied and full portfolio career. Lucy is Regional Director for The British Society of Lifestyle Medicine & was recently an Associate Research Fellow at the University of Exeter. Lucy currently works as a GP Training Programme Director. Lucy enjoys medical writing & has published on the subject of Resilience & has recently published an article all about the evidence for Strength & Balance based exercise. Lucy has delivered bespoke Staff Wellbeing Training in various settings & enjoys public speaking. Lucy is relentlessly passionate about using education and training as vehicles for positive social change and continues to design & develop creative programmes that translate the research evidence into accessible and meaningful action. Whilst human health improves, it does so to the detriment of natural systems. This is unsustainable. Lucy hopes that by facilitating individuals to connect with nature, they begin to feel a sense of belonging and are empowered to become agents for their own health whilst also promoting sustainable behaviours for the health of the planet.
