My name is Danielle Treu. Everyone calls me Danni. I met my husband Brent, in high school in Rockford, IL. He and I began dating when we were 17 and we have been married for 16 years. I went to Baylor University in Waco, TX where I studied Early Childhood Development. Later I became a teacher. My hobbies include decorating, working out, playing and teaching sports, jigsaw puzzles, watching movies with my family, and going on vacations! My husband and I have 3 kids ages 13, 12, and 9, all of whom were born with a familial genetic disease that caused leukemia. After a long road to recovery, including bone marrow transplants at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, they are now doing great! We thank God every day for our healthy children! A few years into my kids' remission, each of them was diagnosed with dyslexia. Trying to find the right educational fit for them has been a challenge for many years. All the career choices I have made have always revolved around what is best for my kids. The next chapter in my career, and in my children's education, will be opening the Florida branch of The Academy Way Network of Schools.
