Kimiyo spent over 30 years working in Culture and Leisure in local government and in that time was involved in promoting equality and diversity in Sport, sitting on a number of Panels for Sport England. She was also a volunteer in disability sport for over 20 years. As a parent of a young person involved in club and county sport she became a local volunteer. Kimiyo was excited to join Together Active in order to contribute to the well-being communities through her passion for inclusion in sport, her knowledge of financial management and her experience of close working with Public Health colleagues to increase physical activity.

Paul has worked in housing, health and social care sectors since 1981. He holds an MSc in Public Policy, a certificate of qualification in social work and a diploma in applied social sciences. Paul is committed to reducing inequalities and designing out unnecessary poor outcomes for people. He has previously been a board member of Potteries Housing (now Brighter Futures) and was a founder member and Chair of High Peak Advocacy Forum.
Most recently Paul has been working with West Midlands Combined Authority's Homelessness Taskforce. Prior to that he was Director of Operations at Triangle Consulting Social Enterprise. Paul has supported the redesign of community mental health services for mental health trusts and conducted homelessness strategy reviews for various local authorities. Earlier in his career he was instrumental in the design, commission and support of six Sure Start centres across Staffordshire and led the implementation of the Health Action Zone in North Staffordshire.
Now semi-retired, Paul spends his spare time making the most of the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren. You'll find him "doing mildly daft activities ranging from climbing and fell running to cycling and many things in between."
Despite being nowhere near the sea Paul's latest activity is learning to sea kayak.
Paul joined Together Active as the Chair of our Board in January 2023 seeing an opportunity to combine two of his passions; physical activity and inclusion.

Over the years Sharon has been involved with a number of government initiatives, for example Sure Start, Children Centre, Community Learning Partnerships where service delivery ranged from employment and life skills, variety of health and active lives programmes, (such as child obesity and PE funding).
Sharon is currently employed by Everybody Sport and Recreation which is a Health and Wellbeing charity based in Cheshire East that improves people's lives through physical activity & healthy recreation.
She is passionate that these valuable services can be a lifeline to members of the community and have seen first-hand of the changes these initiatives have made to their lives.
"I was keen to join the board so that I could use my financial expertise in Charity Finance, along with my background of working for a number of not-for-profit establishments to support the vision of Together Active. It also gives me pleasure knowing that I am giving back to the community and helping to make a difference to the lives of others.
When I'm not working or juggling family life, I enjoy nothing better that going for a long walk in the country or enjoying a gym class such of circuit training or body pump."
