In 1985, Rev. M. Moran Weston, PhD. and distinguished leaders of Harlem Hospital and St. Philips Church founded Weston United, a not-for-profit 501 (C) (3) organization. Their vision to provide housing and services to enhance the lives of the most disenfranchised in our community: those who are homeless and suffer mental and physical disabilities. Weston United has grown to become an award winning social service organization based in Harlem which for over two decades has been a positive force in the lives of its consumers and their families. Today, Weston United provides services for over 1000 individuals in New York City, employs 150, and manages a budget of over $12 million, including City, State and Federal support. We combat homelessness through 24 hour housing services in our 4 apartment buildings and rented apartments located in Harlem, Washington Heights and the Bronx.
