I have worked in the travel industry since the age of 18 starting as a trainee for a small Independent Agent in Manchester. My travel career progressed and I started working for a large travel agency for 10 years working in different stores around Manchester. After working in Travel for 16 years I took a 10 year break from my career to look after my family and returned to travel selling Foreign Exchange. I started working back in travel 2 years ago and am looking forward to selling holidays again.
Gill has worked in the travel industry for 36 years having started as a trainee in a local independent agency. Her travel career progressed working for several independent agencies within the town before taking up the role of Branch Manager for Worldchoice Travel, where she has worked for the past 20 years.
Gill says: "I have seen lots of changes and gone through various challenges throughout my travel career, but have always chosen to work for an independent agency. This has helped my knowledge and experience evolve and has always given me the choice and flexibility to find and create my clients' perfect holiday experience, complete with 100% financial protection.
I started my career in the Travel Industry back in May 1983, this year will mark my 41 st year in the industry. I started my career as a YTS student for a small independent agency just outside Bolton. Between then and now I have worked for a variety of companies and gained a wealth of experience. I have worked for The Walt Disney Travel Company, visiting Orlando many times and the Disney Cruise line. My ultimate goal is to help my customers make their holiday a memorable experience from start to finish.
Sam has worked in the travel industry for 19 years, having started as an apprentice at an independent agency after leaving school. She has now worked for Worldchoice Travel in Wigan for the past 15 years.
Sam says about her job: "Working in travel has given me great experience in travelling the world. This proves very useful when selling holidays to customers, offering first-hand experience of destinations."
So far, Sam has first-hand travel experience of Dublin, Amsterdam, Kos, Corfu, Zante, Costa del Sol, Balearic Islands, Bulgaria, France, Egypt, Cyprus, Turkey, Tunisia, Australia, Las Vegas, Florida, Dubai, Oman, Kenya and Costa Rica.
I started as a trainee many years ago at Pemberton Travel, alongside our shop Manager Gill. After many years break, I have returned to where I started with my love for travel. Worldchoice Travel certainly prides itself on providing the ultimate customer service and it has already been a pleasure to meet loyal customers old and new.
