Alex has an extensive legal and finance career having commenced his first role at the Bank of England in 1987 as a lawyer supervising banks.
A qualified solicitor with Allen & Overy, Alex then had an extensive career in-house heading the legal teams at Barclays Capital & Barclays Business Bank, followed by Merrill Lynch and Bank of America.
More recently Alex was a founder of The Mortgage Lender, and an executive member of a start-up bank.
Alex now works as General Counsel for Clivedale, a large real estate and financial services group.

Anne has recently moved into a full time career as a non-executive director following an extensive executive career which majored on the leadership of business and technology transformation. Anne's principal expertise is financial services albeit she has worked across a range of industries and in many geographies.
She has led the turnaround of many technology functions within major banks including Abbey/Santander, Bank of Ireland, ANZ and EnergyAustralia. In her last two roles she was responsible for defining and leading an extensive business and IT transformation required to restore organisational stability and control while introducing new digital capability in support of a new business strategy.
Anne is currently a non-executive director of two Australian based Fintech companies; Mint Payments, a listed mobile and electronic payments company and Archa, a start-up focused on the provision of a corporate credit card for SME's. She has also joined the Board of Piraeus Bank in Greece.

Balaji Prasanna is a senior banking professional with a career spanning over 35 years in global banks including Citibank and Deutsche Bank. He held several leadership roles during his 15 year tenure in Deutsche Bank where he was a member of the Global Executive Committee of the Wealth Management division and previously of the Asset and Wealth Management division.
Based out of London, Balaji led the Global Lending and Deposit business of Deutsche Bank Wealth Management and held several additional roles as the Global Head of Wealth Planning and the Global Head of Business development and Sales Management. He also held governance roles within the business as a member of the Divisional Risk and Asset-Liability committees as well as being a non-executive director on the boards of Deutsche Bank Switzerland and Deutsche Bank International.
Gareth has over 12 years' experience in the financial services industry, predominately in Private Equity, with a focus on operational value creation projects spanning several industries and jurisdictions. Gareth's experience includes leading M&A transactions, capital raising in both debt and equity markets, integration and strategy formation and execution. Gareth has a proven track record of creating value through a focus on customer intimacy, technology leadership and operational excellence.
In his current role Gareth is overseeing the operational build out of Alba from scratch, with a focus on creating excellent customer experiences through an efficient, scalable and resilient operating model.

Jeff is a Chartered Accountant and was a partner at PwC from 1991 to 2019 where he worked with a wide range of companies in the banking and capital markets sector.
He spent 3 years in New York as well as time seconded to the Bank of England. He has extensive experience of accounting, risk and controls in banks. As well as being an audit partner he led many other client engagements including investigations, due diligence and regulatory reporting reviews. He is treasurer of the Safer Neighbourhood Board in Richmond upon Thames.
At Alba, Jeff serves as Chair of the Audit Committee.

Jim is one of Scotland's best known and most successful Businessmen and Entrepreneurs. He is Chairman and CEO of Clyde Blowers and has been the chief architect of its impressive growth record since buying into the business in 1992.
Jim has a wealth of experience investing and operating businesses through many economic and market cycles. In the past 20 years he has invested in 20 platform acquisitions, overseen 15 exits including 2 public listings.
He has led a number of public to private transactions, mergers, demergers, spin outs and turn arounds. Jim is the founding shareholder, director and driving force behind the creation of Alba Bank.
Jonathan brings leadership experience across start-up, scale-up and established firms to Alba's commercial proposition, along with deep expertise in UK mid-market debt, corporate finance and capital advisory.
Prior to joining Alba, Jonathan was CEO and Co-Founder of Bank North where he led the Bank from concept, through build and full PRA/FCA regulatory approval, to successful market entry. He was previously Divisional Managing Director at Santander Business (the SME division of Santander UK), having also worked with Deloitte and Lloyds Banking Group.
At Alba, Jonathan is responsible for developing and distributing a compelling range of commercial finance products aimed at supporting UK SMEs.

Robert brings with him over 45 years' experience in retail banking. Robert is also currently chair at Metro Bank plc, Hampshire Trust Bank plc and Pollen Street plc, having previously held a number of UK and international non-executive roles including chair of Bank of Ireland (UK)'s consumer business, Vaultex Limited and RIAS plc.
Robert has also held non-executive director (NED) roles at Aldermore Bank plc, George Wimpy plc, Barclays Bank UK Retirement Fund, LSL Properties plc, as well as several independent NED roles at banks in Qatar, UAE, Oman and Turkey.

Rod is an experienced Bank Chief Executive and Board Member operating at senior management and leadership. He is well known in the industry, having sat on various regulator panels.
Rod is currently on the advisory board of the Adam Smith Business School in Glasgow.
He has been the CEO and a founder of Alba Bank since it was established in 2018.
Sandeep is a technology expert with 16+ years of experience designing and building large, distributed and scalable systems. His speciality is in software architectures with high traffic and global reach. He has also developed high performance mobile and web applications from scratch, and built top caliber technology teams globally.
In his current role, Sandeep is leading the development, integration and deployment of best in class technology to deliver the Alba proposition.
Sue has over 25 years experience working across all areas of HR including leading centres of excellence, delivering HR projects and programmes; building and leading HR functions and People Strategies. She creates structurally aligned, commercially focused, flexible and agile HR teams and facilitates a culturally aligned team right across the business.
Sue has worked across a number of different industries including Telecoms, Professional Services, Financial Services and Banking; working in businesses of differences sizes, constructs and levels of maturity and latterly leading the HR build for Bank North to support PRA/FCA regulatory approval.
Sue brings to her current role a deep experience and passion for Organisation Design and Development, believing that building the right culture at Alba is paramount to our success.

Wendy is a skilled finance executive with significant experience of operating in senior finance and leadership positions over the last 17 years. In her most recent role, she was Chief Financial Officer of Airdrie Savings Bank and worked extensively with the regulators on financial and reporting matters. Wendy has prior board experience with Nationwide Building Society and has previously worked with Deloitte LLP. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
Wendy has been the CFO and a founder of Alba Bank since it was established in 2018.
