Andy Christie

Having grown up near Salcombe I was always on the water spending many happy days at Sunny Cove and South Sands. My Uncle was a keen sailor and introduced me to sailing and I completed my RYA dingy sailing certificate aged 15. As a teenager I mainly sailed Lasers in and around South Devon. Due to being the lightest person in the family, to get the old speed boat with the small 20hp on plane, I started driving boats at the age of 12 so that others could Waterski! Water-skiing led to wakeboarding and more recently wake foiling. I also have been lucky enough to surf some the most fantastic locations throughout the world including: Bali, Fiji and Maldives. Later my sailing has moved to cruising in larger boats which I enjoy with wife and children. Charles Thatcher

Lymington local Charles has worked for the ferry company in Lymington before heading out to the Mediterranean to work on super yachts. After working on various sized yachts Charles spent 11 months aboard a 128ft Sailing Yacht as sole deckhand for the summer season as well as overseeing a full refit during the winter. Charles can now be seen enjoying RIBs in the Solent with friends and takes any opportunity he can to get on the water.

Charlie Thwaites

Following a successful career dealing with sale and acquisition of high value property, Charlie joined Ancasta in 2016 working in his native Cornwall before focusing on the French and Mediterranean markets. Having been brought up around boats, the sea has always played a major part of his life and previously working locally and abroad as a senior RYA Sailing and Powerboat Instructor has meant that Charlie's knowledge extends to a wide variety of craft. Away from the office Charlie is a keen racer having been involved on various racing circuits from an early age. He now races in the Half Ton fleet and on his Musto Skiff. As an experienced sailor and also a keen windsurfer and surfer as well, Charlie is very much at home on the water and will be delighted to assist you in the sale or purchase of your next yacht.

Darcy Hyndman

With family in Cornwall spending my summers surfing, I have a deep rooted connection with the ocean. Shortly after leaving college, I started my journey towards the maritime industry working in the Canary Islands and Grand Cayman working as a professional Divemaster for over a year. Shortly after, I did an array of other maritime qualifications which ended up helping me enter the superyacht industry. I had the pleasure of working on one of the largest sailing yachts in the world. I then moved on to a more permanent role on a 73m Feadship, in which I circumnavigated over half the globe with twelve crew from Amsterdam to Tahiti crossing both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Dean Overton

James Christian

James Christian joined Ancasta in 2014 and leads our team in Plymouth. Prior to Boat Sales, James enjoyed a successful career as an estate agent in Devon after leaving behind a London-based career in TV Production. It was a life change based on the romantic notion of ‘living closer to the sea' - not surprising given his mutinous lineage! James spends much of his free time around water - whether it's flying-the-wire of his beach catamaran, surfing, windsurfing or wake-boarding; getting wet is essential! James' expertise in Sales and Marketing together with his personable approach has been a key component in the success of our team in our two offices in Plymouth at Queen Anne's Battery and Plymouth Yacht Haven.

James Douch

James Douch is the Manager at the Lymington office and a member of the Beneteau New Boat Sales Team. James moved to Ancasta in 2015 after working for another yacht brokerage on the Hamble River. He has a passion for all things boating and is often found in the Western Solent on a boat with a G&T in hand! A very seasoned boat handler, James has grown up on and around boats all his life and is a Helmsman of the RNLI Lymington Lifeboat.

Jamie Allwork

Jamie's passion for the marine world began growing up on the Kenyan coast. Throughout his childhood, he spent a lot of time deep sea fishing, boating and refining his skills in an array of water sports. Education and sport would then take him over to Australia before heading to London where he graduated with a first-class honour in Sport Business Management. He then worked in the sales, events and luxury travel sectors before the pull of the ocean led him to join Ancasta in 2021. An active water sports enthusiast and fisherman who appreciates and understands yachting as a lifestyle. Part of the Beneteau powerboat team, his knowledge and experience across the market allows him to assist in the sale or purchase of both new and used sail and motorboats. Jamie's ability to find a solution and his aptitude for problem solving makes him an ideal partner in your search, sharing his passion for boats to help you find the perfect fit.

Jeremy Tutt

Born in London, Jeremy has always been involved in the high-end customer service business. Having sold a thriving property business as well as a wildlife documentary film making company, Jeremy indulged in his passion for the sea professionally in 1997. In addition to logging thousands of miles as a commercial yacht master and creating his own water-ski school, Jeremy joined a global yacht charter company with 40 operations worldwide, driving growth and sales as the UK Managing Director. His results resonated with the UK industry and he was elected to the Board of National Boat Shows and Vice Chair of the Marine Leisure association.Having contributed to the successful sale of the business, Jeremy was head hunted to start a new motor yacht dealership in the Middle East where he achieved outstanding results, subsequently starting new operations in China and SE Asia for leading shipyards. Having worked with the main shipyards globally, Jeremy's broad experience has helped many clients with the purchase, design, build, delivery, refit and management of their dream yachts. Very hands on, Jeremy has delivered boats around the world and this experience, combined with a strong affinity with the sea and all things nautical pays dividends for his customers. Josiane Sader

Josiane is fluent in English, French, Arabic, Spanish and Catalan and enjoys being able to communicate with clients around the world. Having travelled extensively, especially through the Mediterranean aboard cruising vessels as a shore excursions manager, allowed her to discover a multitude of cultures and to deal on a daily basis with international clients and providers. Once settled in Barcelona, she became the after sales manager for a luxury motor yacht brand where she developed an extensive knowledge of motor yachts and their owner's needs. As the back-office manager of a yacht service company since 2016, she is an expert in contracts, paperwork and regulations in Spain and Europe.Josiane habla fluidamente el inglés, el francés, el árabe, el castellano y el catalán y disfruta de poder comunicarse con clientes de todo el mundo. Katy Dixon

Katy is the Manager of our busy Swanwick office and a key member of the Prestige New Boat Sales team. Having spent her childhood living close to the banks of the River Hamble, the water has always been a huge part of Katy's life, messing around in boats from a very young age. She first discovered her passion for boat sales with Ancasta at the age of 18 when she was a Brokerage Assistant. Katy spent the next six years gaining invaluable experience including a brief spell setting up another local brokerage operation. Returning to Ancasta in 2011, Katy is busy outside of her role at Ancasta as a full member of ABYA - where she is a current Committee member and former Vice Chair. Kostas Saltouridis

Kostas in an officer graduate of the Greek Naval Academy. After experience at sea, he settled down in Barcelona where he ran the sales and support for a well-known German sailing yacht manufacturer developing an extensive knowledge of all elements of sailings yachts, not to mention his passion for sailing especially in Spanish, French, Italian and Greek waters. Having founded his own company in 2016, he has developed an excellent network of owners and service providers. Speaking fluent English, Spanish and Greek, Kostas has developed a very international clientele. Coupled with his experience as a sailor, his extensive knowledge of yachts, his technical skills and his strong commitment to client relationships place Kostas in the perfect position to guide you along your yachting journey.Kostas es oficial graduado de la Academia Naval griega. Lee Ball

Lee Ball is a senior broker who joined "team Cornwall" at our office in Mylor in 2010 but actually his connection to Mylor Yacht Harbour started when it was the home for his father's power boat. Lee has a passion for power having previously enjoyed a successful career in the motor trade. He used to race bikes, annually attends the Le Mans 24 hour race and is a product specialist for our Prestige and Beneteau power brands. However Lee also loves sailing and is a member of Restronguet sailing club where he sails a Laser (sometimes the right way up) and has become an integral part of the boating community in and around Mylor and Falmouth.

Lewis Horne

Lewis has been round powerboats from a very young age, completing various water sports having been fortunate enough to have lived by the sea in South Devon his entire life. For 6 years, Lewis worked as a RNLI Lifeguard in the South Hams working closely with other agencies completing numerous rescues and other hazardous events. Having also completed a degree in Ocean Science, Lewis has always wanted to pursue a career within the marine industry, and with his commitment to helping others, allowed for becoming a broker for Ancasta to be the perfect natural step. His experience upon the water leaves him in a great position to assist in the sale or purchase of new or used sail and powerboats

Mark James

Having owned his first boat from the age of 14, Mark is no stranger to the nautical world. He has spent his career working in the Marine industry, from tying up ships on the docks at a local harbour to running the boatyard at the UK's biggest Marina. He left the UK to pursue work in the Superyacht industry in the French Riviera where he was also an instructor for the RYA. From here he skippered his clients yacht to Barcelona, Gibraltar, the Balearics and back to Barcelona when the boat was sold. He then worked as a self-employed Marine technician for several years before returning to the UK. Mark also holds a Yachtmaster Power qualification and enjoys getting afloat as often as possible.

Mike Christie

Mike started sailing dinghies at the age of six and subsequently enjoyed many family holidays cruising around the west coast of Scotland and beyond. Having qualified as a skipper in 2001, he has worked in the marine industry ever since. Mike joined Ancasta in 2007 and has worked in a variety of technical roles (most recently working as the senior commissioning technician), bringing vast knowledge of sail and power boats to his role at Swanwick. Mike is delighted to be working in his role as a broker and specialist in the sale of new Beneteau sail boats and would be delighted to assist with your sale or purchase.

Mike Wedge

Mike Wedge is the Office Manager and part of the Lagoon New Boat Sales team. Since learning to sail at the age of 4 in the Middle East, he has always enjoyed being around boats. In the early 90's Mike trained at the UKSA in Cowes, and went on to spend time in Seychelles, Dubai, and Australia undertaking many roles which included coaching the Seychelles Olympic 420 squad, running a yacht chandlers, and working in super yacht design. Today Mike manages the busy Brighton Office and welcomes visitors with any queries they may have on new, used, power, sail or indeed the increasingly popular multihulls.

Nick Bishop

Nick has been a keen watersports enthusiast all his life, always looking for excuses to be around water and trying out all manner of water borne activities. Studying for a maritime degree in Southampton led him to the Hamble, where he worked in the yachting industry for the best part of a decade developing his sailing and powerboating skills. Originally moving to Devon to work as a teacher he eventually found the draw of the marine world too strong and settled on yacht sales as a great way to follow his passion. Although specialising in Beneteau Yachts, no matter what sort of boat you desire; sail or power, new or used, Nick is happy to discuss them and will be happy to advise upon the best vessel suited to your needs.

Russell Heath

Russell Heath is the latest addition to our expanding Brokerage team at Brighton. He joins us with a wealth of knowledge regarding the popular Beneteau Power Boats and is the man to talk to if you need any information regarding the Swift Trawler, Antares or Grand Turismo range. Having grown up working on his Grandfathers fishing boat in Rye, Russell has been working on and around boats ever since. For the last fifteen years Russell has worked as a Yacht Broker on the South Coast, supplying and delivering new and used boats all over Europe.

Sean Noble

Sean is a Senior Broker, Swanwick Used Boatshow Manager and member of the Beneteau New Boat Sales team. He has been involved in brokerage and new boat sales since 1986 including Moody, Elan, Island Packet and Cranchi and joined Ancasta in 2010. Sean grew up sailing dinghies and windsurfing on the River Hamble and sailing on his parent's classic Peter Duck wooden ketch and latterly on their Moody Eclipse 33 and Aquador 32. Sean is a committee member and former Chair of the British Marine Boat Retailers & Brokers Association which represents companies involved in the sale of new and second-hand craft. Sian Robson

Sian joined the Plymouth office in 2014 on returning from several years in Palma where her husband was the captain of a Swan 82. She had previously lived in Hamble and her marine industry background includes working directly for Beneteau France as UK Operations Manager as well as time spent in marketing with the Westerly, Dufour and J Boat brands.Sian has a huge amount of sailing experience ranging from dinghies to 100' yachts and from crewing corporate charter events to two 2-handed transatlantic crossings. These days she simply enjoys cruising with her family on their Rustler 36 along the coast of Devon and Cornwall coastline (which if we're honest is about as good as it gets!) and limits her racing to occasional Classic Yacht regattas in the UK and the Med.As part of the Plymouth team, Sian's wealth of experience and personal approach instils a confidence in both the seller and buyer alike.

Simon Boote

Simon Boote first came to Cornwall as a sailing instructor on the Helford River in the early 1980s. He returned with his family in 2003, having had a career that allowed him to sail all over the world. He took over Ancasta Cornwall (Falmouth and Mylor) in that year and added Ancasta Plymouth to the portfolio in 2007. He remains a passionate sailor both in Cornwall and overseas. He has been a member of the Royal Ocean Racing Club since the mid 1980's and has competed in many of the world's premier sailing events. However he is also a proud owner of a Fly-bridge Sports Fishing boat that is "probably one of the most used boats in Cornwall!"

Tracey Phillips

Tracey joined Ancasta in 2017 and brings with her a wealth of marine industry experience having previously worked for many years for a luxury sailboat manufacturer and more recently a yacht management company. Tracey's sailing experience includes 60,000 nautical miles on sail, motor and catamarans in the UK, Med, USA and Caribbean as well as two Atlantic crossings. These extensive miles combined with her industry knowledge and strong commitment to client relationships makes her the ideal Broker to help you sell or purchase the boat of your dreams.
