Alan moved to the role of General Counsel and Company Secretary in July 2019, having held the same role at Prudential plc. Prior to joining Prudential in 2012, Alan was the Group General Counsel of Tesco Plc for 4 years and before that held various senior legal positions at British American Tobacco plc, including 3 years at Farmers Insurance Group where he also became a member of the California Bar. Alan began his career as a solicitor at Simmons & Simmons.

Andrea Rossi was appointed Group Chief Executive in October 2022. He has more than 25 years of experience in financial services, in particular on the global asset management and insurance sectors. He was CEO of AXA Investment Managers and a member of the AXA Group Executive Committee for six years. Before that Andrea was CEO of their Italian Insurance business, a position he held for five years. He also held a number of senior roles across AXA's insurance businesses in France, the Mediterranean and Middle East regions. Andrea began his career with GE before moving to AXA in 2001.
Before joining M&G, Andrea was a Senior Advisor to the Boston Consulting Group on Insurance and Asset Management within the firm's Financial Institutions practice. He is also a Non-Executive Director of REsustain, a firm he co-founded in April 2021 which developed a platform that reduces carbon intensity in commercial real estate.
Andrea graduated from INSEAD with an MBA in 1994, and holds a MsC in Economics and Commerce from the University of Rome, "La Sapienza".

Benoît Macé joined M&G plc in October 2022 and is the Group's Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer. Prior to that he spent 17 years at Boston Consulting Group, where he was a Managing Director and Partner in Financial Services, advising businesses in the asset management, wealth management and insurance sectors across the UK and Continental Europe.
In his role at BCG he worked extensively with executive management teams on profitable growth strategies, operating model redesign and digital transformation initiatives. He also led the firm's asset management activities for 5 years.
Benoît holds Masters of Science from Ecole Polytechnique in Palaiseau and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications in Paris.

Clare Thompson is an experienced non-executive director with a deep understanding of the insurance sector. Ms Thompson spent her 35-year executive career at PricewaterhouseCoopers including 23 years as audit/lead partner on major financial services groups during which time she served as UK Insurance Leader. Since stepping down from her executive career, Ms Thompson has developed a portfolio of non-executive directorships: as well as a previous non-executive director role at Direct Line Group plc, she currently serves on the board of Bupa Group. Clive Adamson has enjoyed a 44 year career in financial services spanning executive roles in banking and regulation and, more recently, board roles across wholesale and retail banking, insurance and asset management. Mr Adamson spent 20 years in wholesale banking initially with Citigroup and then with Bank of America where he held a number of senior positions including Regional Head of the UK and Northern Europe. He then moved into regulation as an adviser at the Bank of England before being appointed as Director of Major UK Groups at the newly formed Financial Services Authority, a position he held during the financial crisis. Mr Adamson then moved to the Financial Conduct Authority on its formation where he was Director of Supervision and an Executive Member of the Board. After 17 years in financial regulation, Mr Adamson has been a Non-executive Director of Virgin Money plc and currently is the Chair of Ashmore Group plc, a Non-Executive Director of JP Morgan Securities plc, the Chair of JP Morgan Europe Ltd, which houses the new Chase UK digital banking business, and the Chair of Nutmeg Savings & Investments Limited. He was also, until March 2022, a Senior Adviser at McKinsey & Company. Mr Adamson holds an M.A. in Economics from Cambridge University.

Dev Sanyal joined the board of M&G plc as well as the Audit and Risk committees on 16 May 2022. Dev was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of VARO Energy Group AG, a leading European energy transition company, effective 1 January 2022. Prior to this, he was a member of bp's Group Executive committee for over a decade in a 32-year career with the company until 31 December 2021. He headed bp's Gas and Low Carbon Energy businesses globally and prior to that was Chief Executive, Alternative Energy and accountable for bp's Europe and Asia regions as well as Group Treasurer and Chair, bp Investment Management Ltd. During his tenure in bp, he built world scale businesses in sustainable energy and led the pivot in the company's energy transition strategy. Edward was Senior Partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, the global law firm and before that was global head of its Corporate practice. While Senior Partner, he headed the firm's strategic growth in the US, including establishing a new office in Silicon Valley. Edward also led on culture, diversity and ESG. Edward was a leading international M&A lawyer, with experience in many industries including financial services. As Chief Investment Officer, Jack is responsible for the entire span of M&G plc's investment capabilities, including the With-Profits Fund and equity, fixed income, multi asset, private and alternative asset strategies. In addition to his CIO responsibilities, Jack leads M&G's Asset Management business, as Managing Director.
Prior to his appointment as CIO in February 2019, Jack was Chief Investment Officer, Prudential UK, overseeing the management of the £178 billion With-Profits and annuity assets, and the investment capability behind the PruFund proposition.
He has been with the business for 20 years, having joined M&G Investments in 2001 to help establish Prudential Capital, the in-house treasury and investment team of Prudential plc, and became its CEO in 2011. Between 2011 and 2019, Jack was group Treasurer of Prudential plc.
Jack has 36 years of investment and markets experience, beginning his career with Hill Samuel in 1985. He also ran the Markets and Investment functions at National Australia Bank in Europe.
