APPLYO JENA - Key Persons
Dr. Hellmich-Duong founded Applyo Jena GmbH together with Dr. Hermann in 2021 after almost 10 years of strong cooperation in the field of IVD-PoC product development. As CTO he focuses on product and technology development, especially on PCR and isothermal molecular diagnostic assays and Applyo's proprietary freeze-drying technology for ultra-high throughput scale.
As biophysicist he worked in different project management and leading positions in product development of the pharmaceutical and diagnostic industry. His combined knowledge and experience in the fields of assay design, detection technologies, microfluidics and integration of complete systems yielded cutting-edge product solutions and is one of the bases of the Applyo foundation.
