Alice Forbes

Job Titles:

Alice works across the team to provide admin support, assisting with the organisation of meetings, social media and events. She brings with her two years of administration experience in the charity and education sectors and approaches all aspects of the job with a positive, hard-working mindset. With a background in multimedia journalism, she is also currently helping to build Belshaw's social media channels. When she's not working, Alice is most at home in the outdoors. She particularly enjoys hiking and wild swimming and greatly misses living by the sea in the West of Ireland. She is fluent in Spanish and has recently started attending language exchanges in London to brush up on her conversation skills.

Annabel Cowell

Annabel joined Belshaw in January 2023, having worked in the construction industry since 2020. She had previously been working client side for a luxury children's nursery developer. Annabel has experience across the full project lifecycle from design and planning, all the way through to construction and occupation, across a wide range of projects including conversions of listed buildings and fit-outs of new build developments. Annabel approaches projects with a can-do attitude and believes transparency and strong relationships are crucial to the success of a project. She is working towards her professional Chartership. Outside of work, Annabel loves to host dinner parties, throw some punches at the gym and paint dogs... or cities!

The most recent addition to our team, David joins Belshaw from a major W1 landlord. Returning back to the consultancy world after 4 years, David brings 11 years experience and an unwavering enthusiasm to assist you obtaining the best commercial outcome. Having the understanding of the client mindset he can help to inject true jargonless value into each instruction. Getting himself invested in your investment is where David enjoys to be. Gaining a deep understanding of your short and long term business goals to offer tailored advice to ensure an optimal result to every investment decision you make. When he's not accidentally setting record times in his car on Strava, you'll find him either deep into home renovations or convincing locals his miniature dachshund, Nugget, isn't actually a ferret.

Elizabeth Wilde

Elizabeth is an ACA qualified Accountant, with over 12 years' experience in a diverse range of industries, most recently working within the NHS. With focus on ‘bringing insight to the numbers', Elizabeth joins as a Finance Executive to help aid Belshaw's next steps to growth. Her strengths lie in providing meaningful data to support decision making and strategy, as well as a strong finance knowledge base. Elizabeth enjoys travelling, yoga, reading and dogs; hoping one day to get her own to add to the Office Patrol!

Fran McGrath

Fran is a chartered property professional with 5+ years of experience working in the construction industry. With a focus on building a strong team culture, she enjoys collaborating with clients and colleagues to form trusted relationships, collectively delivering successful projects. Her experience in corporate real estate, including the commercial, hospitality and industrial sectors, allows her to draw on a diverse skill set when offering advice to clients. Having joined Belshaw in early 2021, she's looking forward to growing alongside the business. Fran has vowed to never run again after 2 half marathons in 2 years, but we're reminding her to ‘never say never'. She'll also be a Federer fan until she dies. Nadal who?

Fran Tavares

Fran plays a vital role in our busy London office. A skilled multi-tasker, she ensures the smooth running of the office and everyone in it. With 8 years of experience in the Property industry Fran demonstrates dedication to supporting the team. Fran helps organise the property cycle club Blacktop RCC which has been great success. Outside of work she is a keen traveller, going to comedy clubs, theatre and partial to a bottomless brunch!

George Curtis

George is a chartered building surveyor, specialising in technical due diligence, development monitoring and project management. George has over eight years' experience advising investors, funders, managers and occupiers across commercial and residential sectors. Building surveying can be overly technical. Having first picked up a hammer aged 2, George understands not everybody is as interested in bricks and mortar as he is. He's passionate about keeping things as simple as possible and collaborating with others to build teams that achieve shared objectives. Outside of work, George is happiest outdoors. He loves cycling, motorbikes (sorry Mum), kitesurfing, sailing, skiing, music and cooking (eating). He recently discovered yoga and has lofty ambitions of being able to touch his toes.

James Gadd

James joined Belshaw straight out of university where he studied Mechanical Engineering. James works closely with the team to deliver a range of projects and approaches his role with enthusiasm and determination. He is looking forward to developing his core skills and continuing to gain further experience by working on more exciting projects. Away from his work life, James spends most of his free time either in the gym or playing as much rugby as he can (although that might just be his excuse for having two lunches every day!).

Louise Hattam

Louise joined team Belshaw in May 2022, bringing with her 6 years of Project Management experience in both the private and public sectors. Louise has experience in delivering a wide range of real estate projects working with several different Landlords. With a focus on creating a collaborative and proactive working environment, Louise has built strong working relationships with clients, contractors and colleagues. She sees stakeholder management as a critical requirement for project success, and this is reflected in her successful track record of project delivery and the network she has built. Louise is looking forward to growing alongside the business and achieving her professional chartership this year. When Lou isn't working, you will most likely find her in the gym/1Rebel class or practicing for the London Marathon that she is running in October.

Richard Trubshaw

Co-founded Belshaw in 2019 and has a passion for driving business development, maintaining client relationships and motivating the team. With over 17 years of experience, Richard brings a broad range surveying and project skills and experience and focuses on maximising the commercial value in our clients instructions. Richard regularly is a ride captain for Cycle to MIPIM, frequently injures himself at Propski and co-founder of property cycle club Blacktop RCC. Outside of work he's a keen cyclist, runner, paddleboarder, hiker, wild swimmer, angler and anything else that involves getting wet or muddy in the outdoors.

Tom Belt

Co-Founder and Director, Tom focuses on creating a dynamic Project Management offering that strides to understand our clients needs then shapes our approach and strategy to achieve them. Property is changing. Tom's been fortunate to see that change first hand, looking beyond an asset and the renewed focus on people, the way they work, the flexibility expected. This has brought in a heightened expectation of quality, aesthetic and functional design. We've taken this unique experience to offer an end to end project management service which challenges design, develops collaborative solutions, drives programme and reduces risk for our partners. Outside of work Tom is a keen hiker, commuter cyclist, boxer (of sorts) and father of one. Also loves a good train commute!

Tom Kemp

Tom joined team Belshaw in January 2022, bringing with him 5 years of Project Management experience in both commercial fit out and retail sectors. Tom actively fosters a collaborative and transparent working environment and sees this as a critical requirement for project success, whether it be with clients, colleagues, and contractors alike. This approach is reflected in his successful track record of project delivery and the strength of relationships he establishes with his clients. Tom is also in the final stages of apply for full membership to the CIOB. When Tom isn't working, you will most likely find him wondering between country watering holes (pubs), looking for his golf ball in the bushes or sat the spectator side of the fence for the football, F1 or Rugby!

Tom Simmons

'Simmo' is a trusted advisor to our clients, delivering flexible, commercially focused advice across all areas of building surveying, particularly Technical Due Diligence and Project Management roles. He enjoys getting under the skin of an instruction to fully understand the client's objectives, and finding creative solutions to achieve them. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Tom joined in 2020 having previously been a Director at one of the UK's largest independent building consultancies. Tom is an avid football fan, and maintains a keen an interest in most sports from the spectator side of the fence. He is very much a fair weather cyclist.
