BEYOND-NANO

"Materials and processes Beyond the Nanoscale" (Beyond-Nano) is a research infrastructure of the national Research Council of Italy located at the Catania microelectronics hub. The mission of Beyond-Nano is focused on the development of new technologies in the field of microelectronics, with emphasis to power and high-frequency electronics and advanced photovoltaics. The infrastructure is equipped with a class 10 clean room and state-of-the-art equipment for growth of wide-band-gap semiconductors and two dimensional materials, for advanced processing, and for analytical characterization of materials and devices. The research activity are designed to create a tight link between materials science and device technology in order to reduce the transfer time from research to market applications... Beyond-Nano makes possibile to explore all the technological solutions linked to the use of new semiconductors, starting from the materials synthesis, moving toward the realization of prototype..
