Alain Tran - Founder

Alain believes in the power of combining traditional technical expertise with empathy. He uses this to understand the practicalities of what individuals want to achieve - and how they can be implemented. Alain advises our clients on wealth planning and fiduciary instruments. He advocates holding human discussions with wealth owners and their families to help shape a wealth plan that truly meets their aspirations. Alain builds long-standing relationships with our clients and their families, starting from the very early planning stages. He is by their side to turn their aspirations into practical solutions. He does this across important transitions, and to support the generations to come. Before co-founding Conduct, Alain spent 18 years at various leading international wealth advisors and financial institutions, including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ardel Trust, Rothschild & Co. and Kaiser Partner. Alain holds a law degree from the University of Geneva, and a STEP Diploma in International Trust Management. He is fluent in French and English.

Before co-founding Conduct, Mathilde spent over 15 years as a senior trust officer at Kaiser Partner Wealth Advisors and Rothschild Trust Group. Mathilde is a certified Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP). She holds a STEP Diploma in International Trust Management and a Master's in Economic History from the University of Geneva. Mathilde is fluent in French, German, and English.

Philip Marcovici

Philip is an expert in creating - and sharing - approaches that wealth owning families can take to balance their family and business objectives while maximising their contribution to society. Philip is a thought leader and figurehead within the world of wealth planning. As a director of Conduct, he acts as a mentor to our team - and shares his decades of experience with the families we serve. Alongside his role with Conduct, Philip sits on the boards of several wealth management, family succession, and philanthropic entities. He organizes family retreats, develops family constitutions, and advises on business and wealth governance strategies. Philip is now retired from law practice. Before this, he practised international taxation as a partner at Baker Mackenzie. He joined the firm in 1982, and across three decades practised in Hong Kong, Zurich, and Vancouver. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Philip began his career as a tax lawyer in New York with Chadbourne & Parke, now Norton Rose Fulbright. Philip has held part-time academic positions at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the University of Cambridge, Nanyang Technological University, and the Singapore Management University. He has also lectured at universities across Europe and Asia.

Stefan Liniger - Founder

Stefan is passionate about the intersection of wealth, finance, and human relationships. He consults with families, financial institutions, and public bodies to explore the different aspects that make up the art of wealth planning. Stefan has a particular focus on helping families with their most strategic wealth challenges - including family businesses, constitutions, and retreats. He serves as a board member of family businesses and assumes the roles of trustee, protector, executor, and mediator in complex family disputes. Before co-founding Conduct, Stefan held senior positions with Bär & Karrer, Goldman Sachs, Rothschild & Co. and Kaiser Partner. Stefan has a doctorate in jurisprudence from the University of Zurich, a Master of Laws from Cornell Law School, and a postgraduate diploma in Psychosynthesis counselling accredited by the University of Middlesex. He sat for the Swiss Bar, is a member of STEP, and fluent in German, English, and French.
