COOLL

Cooll is an innovative spin-off company of the University of Twente, based in Enschede, the Netherlands. Cooll was founded in 2009 after an extensive feasibility study. Initiator Johannes Burger has worked since the mid 90s at the UT on innovative cooling systems, among others in projects for the European Space Agency. Co-initiator Stefan van Uffelen also works for the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, and was until 2014 director of the Dutch Green Building Council, a successful initiative for the preservation of the built environment. Third co-initiator is Robert Jan Meijer, who together with Johannes, Bart Custers and Wietse Offringa full time works on developing the technology. Marco Stempher works for Cooll as an experienced refrigeration engineer. Cooll works closely together with a number of groups at the University of Twente, among others with the "Energy, Materials and Systems" group of professor Marcel ter Brake.
