DISABLED RESOURCE SERVICES (DRS)

DRS is a certified Center for Independent Living. It is one of nine non-profit agencies in Colorado that meet the unique and often complex needs of people with disabilities. Our staff helps them acquire renewed hope, assist with setting goals and developing a plan to succeed, get needs met and assure they increase their independence and quality of life... We assist people with all types of disability(s), all ages, and all income levels. Our services are free except for our medical equipment rental program... Disabled Resource Services (DRS) began in 1978, an outgrowth of the Handicapped Needs Assessment Project conducted by the Larimer County Association of the Blind and Physically Handicapped. The project clearly showed a need existed for an agency that understood the unique struggles of people with disabilities around poverty and discrimination.
