GINU

GINU works collaboratively with First Nation governments, organizations and public and private stakeholders to provide applied scientific knowledge concerning aquatic resources... At GINU, we developed a high-resolution technology to identify culverts in watersheds for all Strahler stream orders (including short-lived watercourses of 1st order). In 2019, we were able to develop an approach in the Restigouche watershed in New Brunswick, with available LiDAR data and funding from the ASCF. In Gaspésie, was made available in May 2021... GINU has made a significant and lasting impact during its history. The strategic priorities below are those which will guide the operation over the next five years to continue making a positive impact on its' member communities.
