GRIEG KAPITAL - Key Persons
Cherin has worked as a Lawyer in the Grieg Group since 2018. Cherin holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from UiB, specialized in company law, energy law and international business contracts with an in-depth thesis on Sino-Western Contracts and relations. In addition, she holds leadership and team coaching education from the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences.
Cherin previously worked as a Lawyer at Deloitte Lawfirm where she amongst others worked with M&A, company law, and indirect tax issues. She currently holds a board position in Grieg Foundation.
Lars Jørgen has been with Grieg Kapital since 2022 and is our head of technology investments. He mainly works with direct investments and active ownership in the technology companies in our portfolio. He holds an M.Sc in Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics. Previous experience includes positions as investment analyst at Investinor, principal at Oceanview Venture Capital and head of investor relations at Greenstat. Lars Jørgen is passionate about finance and technology and thrives in the intersection between them. He currently holds board positions in our portfolio companies Ocean Space Acoustics, Portalo and RAYVN.

Magnus is responsible for the company's finances and dealflow management. He's been working as a Business Controller at Grieg Kapital since 2020. Lately, he has been a part of the investment team working as an analyst. Magnus holds an M.Sc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) as well as a bachelor's degree in shipping management from NTNU. He currently holds a board position in our portfolio company Portalo AS.
Stian has been with Grieg Kapital since 2023 and is one of our analysts. He holds an M.Sc in Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). He has previous experience from working with both investments and portfolio management. Stian is on the board of Grieg Maritime Group, and he is engaged in several aspects of the Grieg Group. He is not restricted to the walls of the office and gladly discusses potential investments both on the bike and on the golf course.

Thomas Thome - Chief Investment Officer
Thomas is responsible for the investment portfolio at Grieg Kapital. He has been working at Grieg Kapital since 2017, starting as an analyst and lately as an investment director. He holds an M.Sc. Marine Engineering from NTNU and an Executive MBA from NHH. He has significant international experience from salmon farming through his time as a project manager in Grieg Newfoundland. He also has experience as a management consultant from EY as well as engineering competence from North Atlantic Drilling. Thomas holds several board positions and chairs three companies. He is interested in technology, finance and fish farming. He will also most likely beat you on the tennis court.
