Alberto Goncalves is the founder and CEO of Life Assets Development. His vision has made the company a leader in the real estate development industry. In his current role, he oversees the creation of residential, retail, and mixed-use communities in some of the most desirable locations in New Jersey. He brings twenty years of industry experience to the role and has directed the creation of over 1,000 residential units, with more than a dozen new projects currently underway.
Mr. Goncalves has received numerous community and industry awards for his work, including Community Development Awards from the United States Senate and the Hispanic Law Enforcement Association of Union County, as well as a Special Congressional Recognition from the United States House of Representatives. He has devoted his career to projects that make a lasting improvement on urban neighborhoods in New York and New Jersey, where his investments have created jobs and growth for the larger community.
In addition to his development work, Mr. Goncalves has acted as a government liaison to agencies at the municipal, state, and federal levels. In 2020 he served as a committee member of the County of Union and UCIA where he was instrumental in the creation of the new $123 million Union County Government Complex. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees at United Home Foundation, and has served in the same role as the UC Workforce Development Board.
Mr. Goncalves understands the unique responsibilities and needs of all stakeholders involved in the development process, including local government officials, architects, construction managers, investment partners, and community members. His vision for Life Assets is to make commercial real estate investing work for all members of the community. His strategic approach allows the company to identify undervalued assets, build upon strategic partnerships, and develop dynamic residential and commercial properties that enhance their communities.
