Marco Fishing (Pty) Ltd operates four dedicated hake longline vessels out of the harbour town of Lüderitz with an additional vessel which is operated from Walvis Bay... Marco Fishing (Pty) Ltd started operating in the hake longline sector in 1994 after it was granted a hake fishing right by the Namibian government. From modest beginnings it grew over the years into a well-established and empowered company. Marco Fishing operates out of Lüderitz and uses the specialized longline method to catch high quality cape hake mainly for the European market.
