Charles R. Schotz

Charles Schotz is an independent business development and government relations specialist, with more than thirty years experience in Texas State Government prior to retirement in 1998. From 1999 to the present, Charles has represented various clients in Texas as a Contract Lobbyist registered with the Texas Ethics Commission. Charles' extensive public service career with the State of Texas, included serving for fifteen years as a liaison to the State Legislature for a large State agency (MHMR), five years as a Program Director in the Office of the Attorney General, and five years as a Legislative Assistant in the Texas State Senate. Charles served a two-year term on the Board of Directors of the Lost Creek Municipal Utility District. In 1999, he was appointed to the Travis County Appraisal District Board of Review, where he served for six years as the Chairman of the Tax Exemptions Committee. Charles is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (BA-1967), with majors in government, Economics, and Latin American Studies. Charles is also fluent in Spanish.
