In 1968 the North Columbus Jaycees embarked on a project to provide affordable housing for senior citizens. North Columbus Jaycee Housing, Inc., an Ohio not-for-profit corporation, was created to be the development entity. Throughout the years, the North Columbus Jaycee Housing, Inc. has looked for other opportunities to purchase properties and continue their mission of providing well-kept and affordable housing for seniors and families. In 2009, through a generous donation from the North Columbus Jaycees, NCJC Housing & Development Foundation, an Ohio non-profit corporation, was formed.
