E. David Shaw

E. David Shaw, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has been serving the Salem area since 1978. In addition to his general orthopedic practice, Dr. Shaw joined Oregon Infectious Disease Specialists in 2012 treating problems associated with diabetes. He continues to organize and participate in medical mission trips to South America for Pediatric Orthopedics twice yearly.

Jasmin Chaudhary

Dr. Chaudhary primarily sees patients in the clinic and provides hospital coverage when needed. Specialist Training Medical School: Ross University School of Medicine Residency: St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital Fellowship: Oregon Health & Science University Jasmin Chaudhary, MD, is a lifelong resident of Oregon. She pursued her internal medicine residency at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis, where she was chief resident. She completed her infectious disease fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Chaudhary also takes pride in treating HIV and hepatitis C patients. She is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases, and is a certified Wound Care Physician by the Board of Wound Management. Dr. Chaudhary is also fluent in Spanish. An active community member who serves on the Marion-Polk County Medical Society Board, Dr. Chaudhary enjoys traveling, volunteering, playing the piano and paddleboarding. She is committed to providing excellent, holistic medical care for all of her patients and giving back to her community.

John C. Girod - Founder

John C. Girod, MD, is the founder of Oregon Infectious Disease Specialists and is a lifelong native of the Willamette Valley. Dr. Girod graduated from Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at University of Kentucky Hospital, and he completed a fellowship in infectious disease at University of Vermont.

Shara Cabrera

Dr. Cabrera's exposure to communicable diseases and illness complication in the setting of limited resources in the Philippines inspired her to pursue further medical education in the U.S. After completing her internal medicine residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, she obtained a fellowship in infectious disease at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in North Carolina. Dr. Cabrera and her husband moved to the Pacific Northwest to be near family and to enjoy the great diversity and natural beauty of the region. She enjoys exploring restaurants and visiting wineries, beaches and nature trails with her young family.

Zoe Muller

Zoe Muller, MD, completed medical school at the National University of Galway in Ireland, followed by a residency at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in New Jersey and her infectious disease fellowship at the University of Cincinnati. She worked for several years as an assistant professor in infectious diseases at the University of Florida before joining the Oregon Infectious Disease Specialists team in Salem. She has a broad interest in all types of infections and is board certified in both infectious diseases and internal medicine.
