In addition to being a full-time REALTOR since 2001, I have tried to get as much education in real estate as possible so I can use it to help my clients. Many years ago, I put in the extra hours to get my Associate Broker's license, and since then I have earned many additional designations in my profession. I use my knowledge to educate my clients so they can make informed decisions and not feel lost in the process and paperwork. I have also consistently been a CENTURY 21 Pinnacle Quality Service Award winner. Basically, I love real estate. On the listing side, my competitiveness also shows up and I enjoy being the one chosen to help the seller fulfill their goals of selling for the highest dollar in the shortest time and negotiating to protect my seller's interests. I especially like it when my previous buyers call me to help them sell their home and find a new one. • Co - Owners
Todd A. Hetherington is CEO and co-owner of NM Management, Inc., an Alexandria, Va., based full-service real estate holding company whose organizations provide residential and commercial real estate sales and service support to clients in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. The organization offers on-site mortgage, title, insurance, and property management in addition to access to a vast network of relocation service providers worldwide. In September 2017, Hetherington completed the "full service" definition by announcing the affiliation of Harbour Insurance, a newly formed, local independent insurance agency dedicated to serving the various insurance needs of individuals and families within NM Management's real estate services network. NM Management, Inc. is the parent company of CENTURY 21 New Millennium, ranked the number one CENTURY 21® firm in the world five of the past seven years, based on sales volume. New Millennium's production numbers routinely exceed the 6,900 other independently owned and operated CENTURY 21 firms in 78 countries worldwide. Hetherington received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy, West Point, and his Masters in Engineering Administration from the George Washington University, Washington, D.C. Following active duty military service in 1990, he started an independent residential real estate company focused on providing relocation support to families at the various military installations in the Capitol area. In 1992, he opened a second office, joined the CENTURY 21 franchise, and added additional Virginia offices over the next four years. In 1998, he led a merger with other franchise brokers and became the top CENTURY 21 franchise brokerage in the Mid-Atlantic region, a position the company holds still today. Early in 1999, with branches and systems in place to serve transferring government and military families in and around the Pentagon and several other Northern Virginia installations, Hetherington extended his military relocation influence by partnering with the owner of the top CENTURY 21 brokerage in Maryland. With a capable partner to manage daily brokerage issues, he turned the bulk of his attention to growth and development of the rapidly expanding NM Management, Inc. organization. In 2007, as part of his long-term growth plan, Mr. Hetherington created First County Mortgage, LLC, in a Joint Venture partnership with National City Mortgage. While working with National City to oversee operations, his primary goal was to grow the new organization by recruiting experienced, reputable loan originators and aggressively marketing to area REALTORS®, builders, and consumers. His focus on loan production, company profitability, and customer service levels resulted in First County Mortgage, LLC becoming the top joint venture for National City across the nation regarding loan volume and profitability. Today, First County Mortgage, LLC continues its steady growth and will close in excess of $225 million in 2017. Through mergers, strategic acquisitions, and management team building over the past 20 years, Mr. Hetherington, along with his business partner and their strong team of leaders, has grown CENTURY 21 New Millennium to a sales force of approximately 850 agents at 19 locations in the national capitol area. The company stands at the pinnacle of the CENTURY 21 real estate's franchise statistics with an estimated $3.1 billion in sales volume. Todd is ranked among The Most Powerful People in Residential Real Estate according to the annual Swanepoel Trending Report, which lists the real estate industry's most influential thought leaders and senior executives. He is quick to give praise to the organization's exceptional leadership cadre and credits the cooperative team culture they have created together. Todd and Britt Borgen Hetherington have been married 31 years, have three children, and live in Fairfax County, Va. CEO Todd Hetherington and President Mary Lynn Stone head our dynamic, experienced leadership team of executives.
