Prior to becoming a Partner at Deakle-Johnson Law Firm, Rome worked as a Law Clerk for Blair & Bondurant, PLLC in Brandon, MS. Mr. Johnson is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in the state of Mississippi. John Deakle passed the Mississippi Bar in 1976 and opened a practice for the general practice of law later that year. In addition to the general practice of law, Mr. Deakle was elected and served four years as a county prosecutor in Perry county, Mississippi. Starting in the early 80s John developed his practice to encompass personal injury, maritime, mass torts, Environmental litigation, as well as other areas of plaintiff-side practice and litigation. Through the 1980s and 1990s The Deakle Law firm became well known for aggressive and successful litigation on behalf of clients both in South Mississippi and beyond. He received a Bachelors of Arts in Justice Administration from Hawai‘i Pacific University, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law. During his last year of law school, Richard worked as an intern in the District Attorney's Office in Tupelo, MS where he assisted in the prosecution of criminal defendants. Since being admitted to practice law in Mississippi, Richard has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving asbestos claims, automobile accidents, breach of contract, the Mississippi Tort Claims Act, nursing home neglect, personal injury, premises liability and products liability. Richard is admitted to practice in both the state and federal courts of Mississippi, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
