A native of North Carolina and UNC-Chapel Hill alumni in Computer Science, Laura migrated to Finance on her path to helping others through financial planning that supports their personal goals and reflects their values.
With purposeful giving and "core value" legacy construction now at the forefront, Laura has spent 20 years applying her strategic and creative approach in areas of asset protection, income planning, tax optimization, insurance, retirement planning and wealth management for her client base that includes business owners, C-Level leaders and stakeholders, and entrepreneurs.
Laura believes in high ethical standards, passion, wisdom and creativity, and she brings a fresh value-based comprehensive approach to all areas of financial planning coupled with the education and straight talk needed to understand financial realities.
Laura is the founder of Provident Wealth Management, Inc., an independent Registered Investment Advisory firm, and Provident Insurance Group, Inc. She is also a Managing Member of CrossHarbour Partners, LLC, a group that works with attorneys and CPAs who specialize in areas of non-qualified tax deferral. She is an active member of Kingdom Advisors and a board member for Break the Cycle Global. Laura is married to her best friend, Tim, and they have two four-legged children, Cooper and Mac.
Sheryl loves getting to know our clients and serving them well! She has over two decades of experience in office management, administration, bookkeeping and payroll processing. She is also certified in QuickBooks. In addition to her extraordinary organizational abilities, she is also a business owner along with her husband, a skilled electrical contractor.
She loves animals and serving others. Her past work includes serving as an executive director of an equine therapy nonprofit. Her hobbies include gardening, working with animals, cooking, and spending time with family.
