Born and raised in India, I completed a five year dental program and graduated with a BDS degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with highest honors in 2003. I then moved to the US in 2004 in pursuit of higher education. While working as a research assistant at University of Alabama at Birmingham, I was accepted to the specialty periodontal residency program at UAB School of Dentistry and Birmingham VA Medical Center. I completed a three year periodontal residency program and received my Certificates in Periodontology simultaneously from UAB School of Dentistry and Birmingham VA Medical Center in 2010.
