Born in Soweto, Mr. Langa has had an extensive career in auditing, finance, management, governance and regulatory compliance, He has led the Hosmed Board as Chairman for two consecutive terms.
An entrepreneur at heart, Mr Langa has established, built and managed a number of small, medium and large enterprises, not least of which was Renaissance Accounting, Tax and Advisory where he was a founding partner. In the latter capacity he has been offering advisory services and has been key in turning around a wide range of businesses.
He was an ex-officio board member and the Chief Audit Executive of Metro Bus SOC Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. He reported to the Board and was a member of the Audit, REMCO and Operations Committees. His role extended to reporting to the City's Group Audit Committee and the Group Performance Audit Committee. In collaboration with industry professionals, he conceptualised and executed strategies to deliver new technologies at Metro Bus. In many cases, working alongside the relevant government departments and agencies has been integral to a successful outcome.
His professional experience and education places him in a strong positive position to lead the Sizwe Hosmed Board of Trustees and to ensure that it achieves its mission and goals. He is a registered member of the Institute of Directors, the Institute of Internal Auditors SA and the Institute of Business Accountants.
